Rogue Ascension: Rogue Ascension, Book 1

This has been a great story for beginning to end. Wonderfully put together, it has kept me fully engrossed. I can't wait for the next chapter to start.

I found it hard to start this book because of all the information you get thrown for the first part as the author establishes the world. However, I’d decided to give it a go, so I carried on. And let me tell you, it was worth it! The characters are crafted well and I found myself chuckling along with the more humorous parts of the book. The action is also very interesting to read. Definitely give this book a go, you won’t regret it!

if you like light novels, then you will like this. the main character is definitely op but that is the intention. i personally like it when the mc has to work for is wins.

Worth reading, ends in a huge cliff hanger, which makes it impossible not to get the next book!I'm not keen on Joey, comes across as big headed looking down on everyone.

This is a rip roaring rollicking tale of action that's mixed with a bit of silliness. I actually liked it more than the other books by this author and will probably read the next one when it comes out.

Not sure whether to love or hate the MC. His development will be fascinating to follow into the next book. His supporting cast is evolving if relatively weak so far. I like the world building and will give the tale the benefit of the doubt by reading the next instalment.

Not a bad start , the MC Joey is totally overpowered, arrogant and obnoxious , as he says he's not sure if he's a sociopath or a psychopath who takes great pleasure in mayhem , his Shade Dragon Breath is the most horrific ability , it's use should be a warcrime , his companions will hopefully grow and become more relevant because to be honest I couldn't care if Joey is crushed.I'm curious so I'll start book two but hopefully it'll be slightly less ridiculous.

One of the best fantasy books I've ever read would absolutely recommend.

I picked it up as a quick read but was surprised how good it was. LitRPG is a new sub genre to me but it was entertaining throughout. Time for book two in the series!

The author of the book seems to have an interesting story in his head but he is completely incapable of narrating it in a coherent way, I almost stopped halfway through the book hoping that it would get better afterwards but that didn't happen. The author needs lessons on how to write a story, badly.

Great world building. Interesting characters. Absolutely bonkers MC that just keeps you on your toes. It’s one of those things where you go, that’s crazy… count me in.Sometimes the authors in web novel format like to take their time, or sludge through fodder quests to fill in the “adventures” that just add word count. It might work when you’re publishing a chapter or so every week, but in book form, it becomes punishing to the reader. None of that here. Great pacing, great flow of time, spending time appropriately and skipping through mundane periods of time when needed.MC is OP, but not to the point where he is the only OP person out there. Lots of risk at stake that it is enjoyable throughout. He may have been lucky to be “chosen” at first but proves that his advantages are earned by working with what’s given. He isn’t special because his daddy is this and mommy is that. He is special because of the type of person he is, and what he does, to the point that you believe he’d still stand out if the only class he was given was a farmer.It’s an absolute blast to read about a competent MC that can manage to surprise me with his choices. The world described in the first half of the book is absolutely gorgeous and unique. I truly truly truly hope that the series continues to deliver on this level of excellence in quality!

Kann man gut lesen. Die Entwicklung des Charakters ist nicht so sehr nachvollziehbar, habe mich öfter gefragt wieso er so seltsame Entscheidungen trifft

While the starting chapters are a little boring the middle and last chapters felt like a roller coaster ride. i got my money's worth, definitely going to buy the second book.
