BOSCH GOP18V-34N 18V Brushless StarlockPlus® Oscillating Multi-Tool (Bare Tool)

Amazing tool which is so useful. I've used it extensively for a couple of months now. A few thoughts and tips below that:- low vibration to the hand so easy to use for a long time- try to keep to plunge cutting and not go sideways- even though it's often quite easy to go sideways (with the right tool head) through plasterboard, sideways cuts aren't good- use the appropriate tool for a given situation. Obvious, but it's very tempting to keep going with an inappropriate head.- I got a lot of use out of a 4 Ah battery. Normally I don't charge them for days. If I'm going long enough to burn through a battery in one go I need a rest by the end, and I'm usually finished doing what I need to. The tool probably needs a rest after using a full 4 Ah battery mostly continuously too! Weight is also fine with a 4 Ah battery.- Changing tool heads is easy and fun. It has that feeling of reloading a gun in an FPS game.So this leads to tips:1) make sure to budget for appropriate tool heads - as a general tool head the one you get with this tool is great (but2) wide and curved heads are great for plasterboard3) the scraper head makes scraping fun!4) big teeth for wood works much better than small teeth5) metal ones are great but do wear out quickly (even a 20 quid Bosch one I used)6) you can tell when blades get blunt because they get hot!

Excellent piece of kit for a reasonable price. Great quality and feel. Starlock system is somewhat uncommon but works well. Lasted very well on a fresh battery so seems efficient. I would recommend.

So much better than the earlier version . The battery doesn’t vibrate itself out and the bits stay in so pleased . It’s now on par with the dewalt version that I also own that I brought to replace the early Bosch one that was absolutely rubbish but most of my tools are 18v Bosch. So had to give this new one a go and it’s been great .

Its a Bosch. no fancy box, one cutter supplied, no battery - all as expected. Arrived, unpacked, existing 18V battery attached and holes cut in my wall with ease. Now looking at what else I can use this fantastic tool for - needed one for years and ended up using pad saws and chisels - this replaces them all.

There are multi-tools......and there are multi-toolsI work in the trade and know my toolsThis rocks!

Multitool itself is a bulkier than I thought it would be, but seems a great smooth tool to use. Delivery was 4 days ahead of schedule so very happy overall

Brought as a replacement for an older model that I had stolen. Also have quite a few other Bosch tools on the same battery platform.Worked well for just under 12 months but after prolonged use, the plasticon/off switched fused to the motor inside and wouldn't turn off. the variable speed also developed a mind of its own.I suspect Bosch are making their tools cheaper.Obviously not too impressed.

This is a great tool with lots of power. Good price point. I wasn't sure if the quick release was going to be much of a game changer. It isn't a huge one but it is pretty convenient. Just know that once you commit to it you can't purchase the cheaper attachments.That said it was worth it for me.
