Great light for the money
Very bright light, easily controllable . Reasonably well built, very happy all round.Just note that if you buy a small rig V-lock plate (I couldn’t find a Neewer one for sale) and cable to power it via batteries, it is the wrong polarity and you’ll need to rewire the XLR end the opposite way round. Or get a D-Tap to XLR cable made up.Once I worked that out I was happy that it could be used via batteries or mains power, most useful. You’ll need a decent lighting stand too as once rigged , especially with a soft box, it can be front heavy.

Best light around £200, silent and easy to control.
some lights claim low noise but this is actually silent and can't be heard in a quiet room

great light, love the app control and padded carry bag
The media could not be loaded. This light has been perfect for doing a load of interviews recently with loads of adjustment control and its well-built design makes it a great addition to my studio. The light comes in a very nice, padded bag with two strong carry handles, and I love that inside everything for it has a perfectly cut out space and padded foam to ensure its well protected for transporting around or putting on a shelf. The main light unit has a great build quality and I like the fact you get a light lend protective plastic cover which just like the light reflector clips into place to can’t be knocked out etc. The reflector has a scale style pattern and gives a really great distribution of light no matter what light mode you have it set too.You can adjust the light all the way from 2700k to 6500k which is basically a really warm cosy yellow ish white to a cool bright white and all the options in-between. This can be controller from the knobs on the back of the light and the display also shows you what modes and brightness etc you are set too or via the app.I love having the app for easy control when the light is in position and i don't want to risk knocking it to get round the back and I was very impressed with the huge, long power cable it comes with which was essential as the power brick part is quite chunky so I was glad this could just about reach to the floor for support. The bottom has a good mounting system where you can put a lighting pole in the mount and screw the bolt tight to secure it in there, then you have a quick release lever to adjust the tilt and angle for getting the perfect light conditions.Overall, for £228.99 it’s not cheap but everything about the build has shown the good quality. The features like app connectivity and good carry bag set it above the rest so its good value for money, but if it comes on a deal below £200 it would be a great light for a great price.

Love it !
I do photography as a hobby looking to make a business out of it and I’m at the stage where I’m experimenting with flash light and video light to see which one I prefer in which scenarios.I knew Neewer offer quality products so I wasn’t expecting a cheap item. Very glad to see I was right. What I like :-It’s powerful-It’s intuitive and easy to use - you can make sense of it without reading the manual-It’s controllable via an app on your phone - specifically useful when you set the light high up.-The dimming can be done in small increments. What I don’t like:-For the price I feel they could’ve included a stand , even a base one which is only few £ in production cost. What I don’t know what to think of:-The scene effects seem very niche. I’m more inclined to believe I’m just too inexperienced to know what you’d use them for apart from the rare occasions where you get to be creative - I mean the defective bulb didn’t look like a defective bulb and who would use a welding effect as often ? Anyway, I’m nitpicking because they’re there if you need them and they don’t bother you if you don’t want to use them.

Love this light!
Love this light! Super easy to use/set up. Lightweight feels professional. You can adjust the brightness easily. It was able to achieve much more brightness than I anticipated and threw light a good distance which made it even more useful. I like that I am able to adjust the color temp and brightness on it which makes it really versatile without the need for gel filters. It’s helped my photos look sharper, brighter and much closer to how the products look in real life - I love this light!

Brilliant video light. Neewer come through once again!
This is a great light; it comes in a box that contains a nice transport case for carrying around the light. Once opened the case contains profile foam which is well formed to protect and house the light and all the bits. Unpacking the light is just a case of lifting the light out, it can come out with the reflector which is packed back onto the light or you can take the light out by itself. The reflector just clips onto the Bowens style mount, connect up the power using the nice chunky PSU that connects to the light with a locking XLR for security and you are good to go. The mount simply turns and locks into position, no need to screw it on so this is quick, this fits into the hand nicely for hand held use or you can use the handle on the back, or for stand mount I would recommend a fairly sturdy stand or it could topple if it was very high. There are a couple of models of this, the one I have FS150B did not come with the battery attachment -the MS150B does (none come with batteries) and despite a search cannot yet find a part number to buy this separately should I need it. So, if you need portable version, I would suggest you buy the MS150 not this one.I will contact Neewer in time to see if the battery box is indeed available for this model. In use the light works really well, is easy to use and very versatile. From the back of the light, you can control both the colour temperature (only white, this is not an RGB light) over a wide range, and also the brightness which is shown in the display. In use the unit did not get too hot, although I did not use it on full power much as I was after some different effects. You can also use an App to control this and multiple lights, so you can stand at the camera and alter the settings so you see what is through the lens rather than having to go to each light and change things. Very useful. As usual Neewer have come up with a fantastic product at a very good price, you will not be disappointed with this.

Amazing! 💯
Small body yet powerful light and very easy to carry or store. Doesn’t need that much space really helpful to use for photoshoots in small spaces. The app also helps to make it more convenient in adjusting the light
