I love these taps and brought 3 to fit in a new house. Only problem is the sizes are all European so you need to get adapters for the tails and the waste. The adaptors are cheap but you need to have them when you do the job or it’s another trip to Screwfix. Would buy again.

Good brand high quality product highly reccommended

While Grohe is a good brand it seems to have cheapened somewhat with more plastic parts that look nothing like the pictures here. While the tap is ok (note that the round semisphere is plastic) all the waste parts are plastic (white) unlike the chrome metal of previous models years ago. If you have plastic waste ubend/pipe ok but uf you have chrome metal then it won't look good. You're better off buying without waste model and buy metal Grohe waste by itself but you're looking at 2x the price. As with all European taps, connections are 3/8 not 1/2 so make sure you have adapters or (if you can turn off cold+hot water in whole house) chabge the isolator valves to 15mm to 3/8 directly. If low water flow, open spout and remove some if the filters. Worst case you can make larger holes in the aerator capsule - they are tiny! This tap also has an ajustment on how far back it goes (thus limiting max water flow) you need to remove rubberv bit in front, tape top off and move adjustment pin all way left (or remove) to have it go all the way back. All in all, not sure if I'd use/buy one again, maybe look for a nice 1/2 all metal/chrome version but likely at 2x-3x cost and they also have drawbacks, plusses and minuses. We shall see.

I was disappointed to see the waste was plastic because in the advertising picture it was chromd plated brass.

This tap is of superb quality but beware of one feature. Flow is restricted and the tap mixes air with the water. This can be frustrating when you just want to fill a basin quickly and it can also mean that combi boilers fail to light when it runs.
