Mini DisplayPort to DP Cable, 3 Feet, Gold-Plated - 4K@60Hz, 2K@144Hz - Black

I got these to connect 2 monitors to my Surface Pro 7 using the Surface Dock (1 gen model). The Surface Dock has 2 mini-DP output jacks and my monitors luckily have DP input ports. At first, I thought these cables were bad because they just wouldn't work with my Surface Dock at all. If you have the Surface Dock and these don't work for you, don't be quick to blame the cables because it's most likely not the cables (for this particular scenario which I will describe). The Surface Pro Dock worked with the Display Port when it first came out, but then Intel changed their software drivers for the display chip inside the Surface Dock. Since Windows 10 looks for and updates everything to the latest version of the software, they dutifully update Intel drivers whenever Intel releases new ones. The problem is that the *newer* version of the Intel graphics drivers (on the Surface Pro 7) doesn't work with the Surface Dock . . . AT ALL! This took me a while to figure out and the solution is very stupid, but it works. You have to manually load an older version of the Intel IRIS graphics drivers for the Intel Integrated graphics. Specifically, the version that I had to use was 25.20.100.7101which comes from an older version of the Surface Pro 7 drivers package which is "SurfacePro7_Win10_18362_19.103.34215.0.msi" You only need the graphics drivers from that package, not everything else. Simply trying to run that package won't work because you'll get a message that there are newer drivers and it will quit. Rather than trying to explain everything here, I'll just say that do an internet search and if you're tech-savvy, you'll be able to figure it out. I'll include a few photos that show the versions that work. Unless Intel releases a patch then this is the best solution I could find to get my Surface Pro 7 to work with dual DP monitors via the Surface Dock. If you have a tech-savvy friend, just show them the photos and they should be able to get your Surface Dock working with these cables. All of that was just to put some of the other reviews into context. There could be some people who received defective cables, but if they mention issues with Intel graphics, then it's probably not a faulty cable. Again, this is just my own personal experience with the cables specifically on the Surface Pro 7 with the Surface Dock (gen 1). YMMV. Overall, this is a great value to get things working for my 2 1920x1080 monitors. It's a good quality cable and having them as a 2-pack was exactly the solution I needed. I hope this might help anyone else who is having the same issue. I would buy these again and would definitely recommend them for the specific devices that I mention above. Works Great for my laptop to monitor, works fine does what I need it to do. I mainly got this so I can hook my laptop and ps4 up to this monitor that I have, since my monitor only has 1 HDMI and 1 display port I figured I could put the mini display port in the laptop and HDMI in the ps4. solves what I need 10ft more than enough for me works great easy to use. fits good. can bend etc. its compatible. my laptop to monitor I'm getting about 143.85hz feel robbed of that 0.15 ha-ha but maybe that's because I think my stuff is 1080p? might be a bit more than 2k or less I'm not sure I'm not very techy like that but no issue at all.

I used this cable to connect my OWC USB-C dock, for my 15" Macbook pro, to my Dell U2412M display. It worked immediately - very happy! -------- Update: It is starting to drop signals from time to time after using it for several weeks. It is frustrating. I can't find the reason for the signal drop. Re-plugging the cable does not help. Signals comes back by it self. Sometimes after a second or so, some times minutes...... One time I had to restart my Macbook Pro to get the pictures back. How can cables fail like this? -------- Final update: Moread's customer service responded to my email very quickly tried to resolve my issue with signal drop out. Since the cable is used with an OWC dock, there is no way for them to determine the source of the issue, they decided to send me a new cable - hopefully a new cable will solve my problem. Moread's customer service is first rate! They stand behind their products.

Works great with my MacBook Pro and many other Apple computers. Cables feels pretty well made while the connectors s little cheap. Fits well and length is plenty.

So I ordered this to use a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor with a 2018 laptop. I've tried other methods like mDP to HDMI adaptor but it didn't support more than 2560x1440. But this cable supports 3440x1440 at 120Hz over mDP to DP. The laptop uses Intel UHD 630 for output and can you imagine that 120Hz. Though the monitor is 180Hz, highly satisfied with 120Hz from my laptop. Highly satisfied from this product. Actually it's a Portronics cable for me.

Picture quality with this caple is mediocre I had to use my old hdmi caple instead of it.

Got this cable to connect my monitor from laptop. Unlike HDMI, this DP cable is supporting 2K@165Hz. The performance is good as I have used it for hours. But i think if you insert remove many times, cable may not last. But for a fixed use, it will do the job.

The cable that i recieved was very old. The sticker on the cable was discolorised, fun fact the cable doesnt even work
