best way to claim my life back
it was the best choice! my no phone summer turned into a no phone life. it’s an android phone with a nokia durability. it can get spotify, google maps, and venmo. i love it. battery can last from 15 hours to three days depending on app use. it’s small and lowkey ugly but i’m going to bedazzle mine. it fits in my jean pockets and it’s wide enough to be used as a weapon via brick throwing. it’s clunky and nice to have. my screen time went from 7-8 hours daily on my iphone to 2.5 daily (i kept the iphone but it is no longer serviced. doesn’t work without wifi). i love having my life back. also no more FOMO

please please please DO NOT buy this POS phone
Bought to downgrade from a smartphone to a dumbphone (social media detoxing) and had for 3 months before it just stopped working; randomly froze on the home screen, went black, then wouldn't turn on no matter what I did, completely out of nowhere on a full charge. Honestly was probably the best case scenario with this POS phone because it gets dangerously hot when in normal use (had to toss the case I bought for it because I literally BURNED MY HAND ON THE BACK taking it off when it overheated), ridiculously bulky and heavy with no hole to tie charms through, T9 keyboard is nearly unusable & keys double & triple press constantly with no way to fix, camera is like 2 pixels, takes up to 5 minutes to load anything with all the bloatware, won't work with Visible or rideshare/delivery driver apps, battery will last maybe an hour on a full charge, screen is literally too small for the display of most apps (can mostly be fixed, just have to screw around with the developer settings before you can even use it), and good luck setting the side button to do anything as it also double presses & will render whatever function you give it useless.

Not Unlocked
While it is locked to T-Mobile it works great with tello. That is fine for us but someone expecting it to be unlocked will be disappointed and frustrated because if their cell service uses any other towers than t mobile the phone will not work and they will have to take time out of their day to return this. Soo I have to take a star off for saying it's unlocked when it's only half true. This phone only operates on T-Mobile towers and that should be clearly stated. As for the phone is very cool. The touch screen is great. I had to change the keyboard settings so it does not use the swipe feature otherwise it over responds to every touch. But once I disabled the swipe feature it worked perfect. Easy to navigate screen. Very solid rugged feel too this flip phone. I purchased it for my 15 year old son. He's pleased. Great phone.

We should all only use these phones
Best phone I've ever had. Use to type to text on google keyboard to avoid carpal tunnel from T9 on the gloveproof buttons. Terrible for using maps while driving due to the small screen, and can only run one or two apps before it is overwhelmed. Great for if you want to unplug from socials and still stay in touch with family.

Excellent Device for Less Phone Fixation
Fantastic for someone looking to keep access to essential apps (banking, work apps, etc) but avoiding clutter and phone overuse. I use verizon which it said would not work but figured I would try it out and it works perfectly fine. Very sturdy as I work in a busy environment and have dropped it a few times. Excellent battery life and very simple to learn the functions of, been having a lot of fun learning how to type quickly with T9, but there are options for touchscreen keyboards. For the price, it can't be beat and I would recommend this to anyone looking to get away from typical smartphones but needing the functionality of one.

Fair "dumbphone" with a lot of potential, but bad battery
As I'm typing this there is a "frequently returned item" label on this listing and I can probably attest to why. Short version: this is a fine daily driver but the battery is TERRIBLE. Long version: I'm one of the Gen Zs who saw "dumbphones" trending on social media and got really into it. Before I bought this phone I was running Lineage OS on a Motorola because I wanted to de-Google my life. I was able to root and debloat my CAT as well while still being able to use Maps, Lyft, banking apps, and other essentials. I was even able to buy and use my bus pass on this phone. Some might be annoyed with the double-type issue (keyboard sometimes repeats letters) but this can be fixed by downloading Traditional T9 and adjusting the settings. The CAT comes with a dongle for your headphones but be aware if you end up needing to replace it - it's an analog adapter, not an active one. I used it daily for about a month and a half before the battery catastrophically malfunctioned; the screen started flickering one night and wouldn't hold a charge, so I tried to restart it and it wouldn't turn back on. It's important to note two things with the CAT S22: the BTE battery is the only kind of battery you can use with this model (fine, since it's removable and cheap to replace) and is a 2000 mAh (2/5 the capacity of my Motorola Power). This thing will run for *maybe* 4 hours with all my fancy apps using up the juice on it, and after the same failure occured 2 months after the first time, I had to give up on it. Important to note that since the manufacturer went bankrupt, these issues will never be fixed for the typical consumer. Maybe some genius with a tech degree will release updates. All the pros were really great - can sideload apps including F-Droid, enough space for all my music (over 400 songs), water- and drop-proof so I never had to worry about breaking it while I was out and about, and of course the joys of having a working flip phone. It just wasn't meant to be for me. This model would probably work better for an older person who doesn't use a bunch of fancy apps, but I couldn't heartily recommend it. Save up for a Unihertz or a Clicks Communicator instead if you want the experience of a more focused phone with clicky buttons.

Not AT&T compatible. But nice phone.
I liked the phone but AT&T kept deactivating my SIM card for trying to use it. Took it into branch, they said the solution is to stop trying. It's not supported.

The phone is of good quality quality. Perfect for people who want to detox from the modern phones but still want to have the ability to install any app. (Be mindful some sim cards don't work on it)

Not sure why people are saying this phone only works in US? Was worried by a few reviews saying their UK/Australian/etc. network wasn’t compatible with this phone, but took the risk anyway. Received in a couple weeks and was able to put Irish SIM card (3) in no bother! Phone works perfect. Great buy

Great phone second only to the alt mive style folder 2. Does almost everything I need the only thing it's missing is NFC and long battery life but all you have to do is carry your cards and bring a portable charger. Recommend looking up guides for customisation to make this thing your treasure.

Didn't work with any sims. I tried Optus and Telstra, both failed to be detected. Don't buy if in Australia.
