Alpha Protocol

This is one of the first games I have bought and played where interaction with the other characters influences the game play.So although the underlying story line is the same, the way you achieve your goals will be influenced by how you deal with the other characters and this means that it's interesting to play the game more than once.There are one or two stages in the game that take a bit of getting through, and when you do get through them it seems more by chance than any particular skill.Overall an excellent game well worth the money.

I remember trying Alpha Protocol on a whim, using a free rental to have a try based on a few things said on a couple Podcasts I listen to. I had no expectations and only afterwards did I read up on the luke-warm reception the game gotQuite frankly, I was surprised with how taken I was with the gameIt plays well, giving you plenty of freedom in how you build your character with the use of tech trees and levelling up. Similarly to games such as Mass Effect there's multiple branching dialogue trees, but instead of simply choosing the words that come out of your character's mouth, you instead choose an attitude with which to say them. You can be suave or blunt and to the point. You can spare the baddy you just beat in combat or kill him where he lies. It's mostly up to you!The story's a typical spy story, nothing too exceptional. It moves along at a nice pace and I'd generally not call it badI remember reading that the game was rife with technical issues and bugs, none of which I saw with my extensive time with Alpha Protocol. It runs fine, I wasn't falling through the floors or walking right out in front of enemies without fear of being caught when stealthingGenerally, I feel Alpha Protocol should have a larger audience. The game is a great starting point to launch a series, drawing (in my opinion) favourable likeness to the first Mass Effect game. Give it a try, I swear you might like it ;D

I only played for about an hour, but it just didn't cut the mustard. There are other games that do what Alpha Protocol is trying to do much better. I'll give it another try but I wasn't impressed.

This could be a good game, as you play the part of a secret agent in a first person shoot-em-up. But what many reviewers how FORGOTTEN to tell us, is that to get through every door (every few minutes), you have to unlock it with a code. The code is to lock-in the connections on a board, in numerical order, but each connection is in a circuit maze. You have to work-out the mazes, to see which connection is which, and lock it in. BUT, you've got to do it really quickly! If you do not make all the connections fast enough, you have to start all over again! BUT, when you start again, the board has reconfigured, and the mazes are all different!It's REALLY tiresome, and if you thought it was hard enough at first, as you progress through the game, the number of connections keeps INCREASING, on every board on every door to be unlocked. (Harder and more tedious as you continue).I put up with it for a dozen doors, and then it got so incredibly tedious, I ended the game as quickly as I could.This is the worst game I have played up to now. And it could have been great without all the silly locked doors!Imagine a fast-moving spy thriller, but where the hero has an enormous bunch of keys, and to get through dozens of doors, he has to stop, and go through the whole bunch of keys to find the right one! After you have watched the film for over half-an-hour, he has unlocked a few doors, and achieved nothing. Do you continue watching?Whoever wrote this idea into the game, needs to be sacked! You ruined what could have been a good game, mate!Let's have an Alpha Protocol 2 - without all the locked doors, please!

Sega made Sonic the hedgehog games.And onto this a basic game of shooting the crap out of people and doing hard hacking quests on pcs cuz the lousy timelimit it's like crossword puzzle.So you might enjoy it or not it is up to you.

One of the most underrated games I have ever played. Likely the most. It may not have the best graphics or things like that but it is a good rpg where you can change the story well. The gameplay is very creative and you can be your own spy. It is also very fun to play and with a great storyline which has lots of twists and turns.

This a great game to play there is multipul ways to complete a mission, go in guns blazing or sneak and infiltrate the enemy. The story is really good just a shame a sequel wasnt made. i would love to see this game re-made for the new gen consoles. Only issue i have is its way too short after playing the game you get dissapointed once you complete it and have got into the story it makes you wanting more and thats a shame we didnt get DLC

Great game with amazing depth if you can look past some annoying features. One of my faves.

wollte nur sagen daß ich vom game begeistert bin.grafisch nicht mehr ganz auf neustem stand.sound ist passend.aber das gesamte spiel macht so richtig laune und ist spannend bis zum schussuk version ist auf deutsch und somit identisch mit der deutschen version(synchro auch in der deutschen version nur englisch)nur beschreibung und cover unterscheiden sich von der deutschen da auf englisch

As the title says it's okay. Graphically was ok considering when the game was made reminded me of rainbow six Vegas 2 as well as it's clunkyness. Story was ok again but the script writing could be improved. Also half of the ge you spend hoping you hit the right dialogue option, and there's no way to know if you are or not till you select one.
