A valuable resource!
A great book about the importance of adopting a growth mindset! I’m an elementary school counselor and my students have loved reading this book because of the great humor that is mixed in!

Perfect!
I love this book! My daughter is 5 and she was having a particularly hard week, with behaving. She seemed to have extreme difficulty listening and being kind to others. She was getting very down on herself and it got worse. I tried explaining how people make mistakes and it is okay to do that, but it is all about how you handle it. Being a 5 year old, she had a hard time understanding how you can take a mistake and turn it into something good, and applied correctly a strength. We read this book together and she lit up by the end of it. It really did turn her frown up side down and lift her spirits some. If you have a sweet kiddo like mine who needs a little bit of understanding, then this is a great book!

Perfect for the perfectionist child
My granddaughter is a perfectionist.. She loves this book and still reads it often. She also took it to school to share with her kindergarten class. It’s funny and lets the kiddos know it’s okay to make mistakes.

Inspiring
It was good and inspiring (Although I'm pretty sure Millie is a superhero with all the inhuman things she could do) but I disliked how her Mom seemed so proud and supportive and cheered her on in her first race... But didn't notice her daughter got stuck and even abandoned her and went home. Then when Millie gets herself unstuck and returns home, her Mom is like, "Where were you?" And I was just like 🤦♀️ really? She didn't even look for her or notice where she went. Aside from that, it was a cute book, I just don't think, in a children's book, it should be viewed as "ok" for a parent to be neglectful. I mean, even the Dad didn't go looking for his daughter. Plus, poor Millie accumulated so many injuries and no one ever took her to the dentist or doctor. 🙄 I don't typically review negatively on kids books, because I enjoy people's creativity and usually chock things up to "cartoon logic" (like why do the kids have blue hair and both parents have brown? I'm just assuming they adopted alien kids at this point, lol.)

Good book. My daughter also understands that it's okay if you spill milk and toothpaste etc. and she can laugh about it because of this book. It's important to teach girls that it is okay to make mistakes and with practice you can do better. this book covers it very beautifully.
