This CIDETTY laptop screen extender works great and instantly made my workflow so much easier. The screen is clear and sharp, and the colors look really nice for work and videos. The good stuff and the just okay stuff: The good: -Screens are a good size -image quality is good -easy to use - basically plug up and go -having the portability to work without being jammed up on one screen is amazing The just okay: -it’s heavy so you need to make sure you are sitting in a way that the kickstand can be supported. I use a tray or pillow behind it if I’m on the couch -both sides require their own power. For my laptop that means I use one side for USB-C and the other side is HDMI/USB. It comes with multiple power options so you can work with what your laptop has but I’m unable to have enough room to plug in my mouse and headphones so I have you use the trackpad if I need my headphones for calls. Minor inconvenience though to have the portability. -speakers are meh so just be aware if you need that functionality. I defer to headphones or laptop speakers so I don’t care as much for my personal use -it does suck up your battery so keep in mind if you’re using away from a laptop power source. It’s not terribly bad but it does obviously have an effect on battery life

Best screen extender ever, I can now do my spreadsheet application with ease, it screens are high quality and clear images. Great for my presentation also, images in PowerPoint are great and I can work with multiple programs and platforms at the same time without have to minimize program screens to get to the other. Love this. Connectivity was ease it was also quick to respond to my connection.

This is a quick and cost effective way to get more screens for a laptop. It’s kind of heavy so I wouldn’t really travel with it. The monitors are clear and provide strong capabilities. My laptop didn’t have the ability to plug on both sides so that required getting an additional dongle. Besides that the screens are a good size and easy to set up.

Pros: Makes a single laptop screen into a triple monitor setup Cons: Extremely top heavy. I was concerned it might break my screen or laptop hinge due to the way it clamps the laptop display. Bulky. Carrying this around would be like having a second laptop. Not very light either. Bad Displays. My $50 portable monitor I bought over a year ago looks way better than either monitor. They don't get super bright either, but they're good enough. The connections. This was by far the worst one for me. I did not have 2 USB-C capable of video output. They do include an HDMI method, which did work. The mess of wires, however, was something out of a horror movie. I would not buy this unless you have 2 USB-C ports capable of video output. Overall, I would probably avoid this and go with another option. I bought this on a whim for a work trip, and I ended up not using due to the hassle to get it working. In my opinion, a better solution would be 2 portable monitors, or even better, the triple laptop screens that do not clip on to the laptop. Update 11/23/25 CIDETTY has reached out to me and explained that the newer model fixes some of my complaints listed here. While I have not tested it, I have been told that the new model requires only 1 HDMI cord instead of an HDMI cord + USB-C, as listed for this product review. If the above is true, I believe that that is the superior product and will remove a good chunk of my complaints here (cord mess, laptop compatibility, etc.). CIDETTY support was also kind enough to try and walk me through my issues and offered the newer model at no cost. Since my use case for this triple monitor setup has past, I declined the offer, to which they provided a refund with no questions asked. I am bumping up the review 2 stars. 1 for the excellent customer service, and 1 for the new model which fixes these issues. With that said, I would 100% recommend that anyone go with the newer version to avoid the many issues I had with this model.
