I purchased this dehumidifier to replace one (from a different manufacturer) that wasn’t equipped to handle the size of my basement. This unit caught my attention because of the square footage it was prepared to handle AND it had a pump that will have the moisture exit and go up a tube. THAT was the main reason I purchased this particular model.In the short time that I’ve been using the dehumidifier, I’ve been very satisfied with its performance. It’s very quiet and removes the moisture from my basement which is large and needs a continuously-running dehumidifier… which this model does. I only had to set the setting on it once through the easily marked and lit buttons, and then it began working as I expected it to.If you have a large space to dehumidify, I would recommend this model for you, especially if the pump feature is something that would benefit you. I don’t go down in my basement everyday so it wouldn’t benefit me to just let it run and fill up the removable water tank as I’d need to empty it daily. And the regular drain hose isn’t practical for me either so the pump feature works for me.I forgot to mention that it’s on wheel and is easy to move around, using the built-in handle which also makes it easy to handle in case rolling it is not the best way to move the unit.One more thing: I needed to contact Kesnos Customer Support about a question I had. They promptly responded to me, and I appreciate that in a company.Hopefully, if you are in the market for a dehumidifier and have a similar situation like me, you will consider the Kesnos Energy Star Dehumidifier.

I live in a basement apartment and it gets very damp down there. I purchased this this past summer and I have had no regrets. After noticing a small spot of mold I ordered this and it came very quickly, I plugged in it and the unit came on. I will say with as much moisture as I had down there I did have to empty daily, so if you have lots of moisture then you will need to dump it daily, but no an issue as it solved the moisture issue and therefore my mold issue.It’s very efficient, haven’t noticed any change in my electric bill, has a space saving design and doesn’t take up lots of space, adds lots of comfort and peace of mind knowing this is doing its job and is very durable.

The media could not be loaded. We bought this for use in our cellar, which other than one section is mostly dirt and crawlspace. The goal is to reduce mold & mildew growth and eliminate the musty smell that can develop. So far the unit has performed great. The controls are straightforward and easy to use. It does not seem to be very loud while operating, but since it is in the cellar, we really aren't close enough to hear it anyway. The built-in water collection tank is not large enough to keep up with the unit's performance when humidity levels are high, so if you are going to use it continually in an area of high-humidity , you will want it to evacuate directly into a drain. Unfortunately for us, we have no drain in the cellar, so we had to improvise by elevating the unit and having it drain into a larger, 5-gallon jug so we have to make fewer trips down to empty it.

The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the Kesnos model YDA-120 (120 pint; 6,000 sq. Ft) dehumidifier. I am using this unit in my basement and am very pleased with how quickly it lowered the humidity and the amount of water it generated using the lowest 30% humidity setting. Some of the features that I appreciate include the handle on the top of the unit and the roller wheels making it easier to maneuver, easy to remove filter frame and inside drying function/timer on the control panel. The unit runs quietly, only a bit noisy when fan is set to high. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance and price.

This dehumidifier worked fine for the first year and a half but then stopped working. (beyond warranty). We contacted Kesnos customer service. They helped us troubleshoot the cause and decided it was not repairable. They offered us a 90$ rebate payment. That seemed fair for a 2 year old product. They were very polite and responsive.

It’s not working not collecting water maybe broken when they deliver to us waste of money
