Great read what a well written story.

This is a beautiful story. It has true humanity on so many different generational levels, everyone should read it. I'm a teacher and my students have always been mesmerized by this story. I've given copies to grown friends and never been disappointed by their warm reactions. Don't miss this story.

Shipping was super fast ordered it on Monday shipped Tuesday and had it Wednesday by 4pm, the book came in fantastic condition, and we had it in time for her project due on Friday! So far my daughter says its a good read!

My friend recommended this novel as a good children’s novel and it was quite a good adventure story. Though the bombing on Nagasaki part made me think a lot as a Korean, the overall story was well put-together.

Taught this book in the 6th grade for 3 years straight as extensive reading. Its amazing to teach countries and cultures, vocabulary, some verb tenses and especially values and theme.Ideally for a kid who’s insterested in sailing, traveling the world and war.

I would recommend this book for children or young adults. I liked the Robinson Crusoe like story, and the plot was evenly paced. It was engaging throughout.

I really enjoyed this story. It had so many elements that made it special and memorable. The friendship between two very different people and the surprising ending equal a very good read.

Read this book to my grandchildren who are 8 and 10 and all 3 of us loved the book. It teaches some good lessons on being self reliant and also being empathetic to others.
