This Connetix Pastel Rectangle Pack, 24 Pieces, is an excellent way to incorporate some larger, rectangular tiles into your collection. By themselves they can be a bit mundane but add them to a Connetix Starter or Mega Pack and they will help create bigger and better builds. The magnets in Connetix tiles are big and strong. The tiles are riveted at the corners to ensure they stay together. They are made with food grade non-toxic plastic. They are very durable and there are no sharp corners. The tiles in this rectangle pack run almost $4 apiece. When comparing to other brands, and even other Connetix sets, it’s much higher than most. The benefit here is that many of the tiles are so much bigger than standard size tiles. This set is Made in China, and comes in a nice, reusable cardboard box. It also includes an inspiration book with some ideas to get started. Overall, this Connetix Pastel Rectangle Pack is a premium, high-quality set that will enhance creativity and play.

The magnets are strong and so I wonder if a 3-year-old could really have success with this set, and I say 3-year-old because that's what it is rated, 3 and up. I'm assuming someone else here will have a little 3-year-old and comment. I do like the set. I only have rectangle pieces, and I can say, I wish I had some other shapes :) It's a beautiful presentation, the storage box. They include an "inspiration booklet," good thing. That booklet is broken down in categories, i.e., Nature, Structures, Transport, etc. I think they did a real good here, especially if one is willing to add to their initial set, which you'll probably have to do.
