Not only did Jett run the company he also was a member of the PRO team, a secret group of people set up and headed by his best friend Marcus Coulter . This courageous group go into dangerous situations to rescue kidnapped victims in hostile countries . Unfortunately on one such mission Jett was horribly injured which left him with horrific injuries and a very scarred body . Whilst still in hospital and trying to deal with his injuries he was delivered a soul destroying blow when his horrible fiancé dumped him ,due to his injuries she said she could no longer bare to be with him , obviously it hurt him greatly . Fast forward two years when he finds himself on another mission one that involves human trafficking , his sister Dani asked him to help a girl called Ruby Kent , a homeless girl who was going to be sold to the highest bidder at an auction and would fetch a high price as she was a virgin, true to his word Jett does in deed rescue her . Ruby’s life has been anything but easy after the death of her parents and grandmother ,she was left in the care of her only other living relative a very abusive Uncle , she ran away when he tried to rape her . Jett & Ruby immediately realise that there is a connection between them they embark on a long journey together to help one another put the ghosts of the past definitely in the past where they should be . Can these two damaged people have a the HEA they so deserve ? ..... I think you can guess the answer to that 😉😍😍

Yet another 5 star read from J S Scott.Jett and Ruby's story is wonderfully written, it starts with both of them in a desperate situation that they need to get out of. Their self worth is at rock bottom, both thinking they are unworthy of the other. Loved their story so much that I really didn't want it to end! Jett is deliciously sexy and Ruby is perfect for him. I absolutely adored the characters and the way the story panned out. It's also great to check in with the other billionaire's from the series to see how their stories are coming along.Can't wait for Carter's story next!!! Already one clicked to pre order.

I’ve been a fan of JS Scott for some time, but unfortunately this book felt like it lacked the depth of writing and storytelling of the author’s previous books. Most of the story was told from the minds of the characters rather than actual events, which made it a bit boring to read. There was very little tension and story development. The author can do better.

This is the story of Ruby and Jett. Both of these characters were living totally different lives, but were brought together under the most extreme of circumstances. Jett initially saved Ruby with his actions, but in the end did they save each other? J.S. is a wonderful writer. It's an absolute pleasure to lose myself in her characters' journeys. I can't wait to read her next book.

Believable characters and a good plot. Each one has been traumatised in one way or another,but a good final outcome

This story is another unique Story by the author that is heartwarming, heart-rending, and optimistic and happy. The background is so different, starting with a young girl who was taken advantage of almost all her life. It shows a wealthy person with a heart of gold helping her and loving her that in ways no one could have imagined. I highly recommend this story

Ok I never want this series to end!!! In this book you have the handsome but broken Jett Lawson and the beautiful but also broken Ruby Kent. When Jett goes inside to rescue Ruby from a human trafficking scheme, Jett immediately is drawn to the beauty and strength of Ruby!! Jett takes Ruby under his wing to protect her and she is reluctant but very drawn to him also. Ruby can see Jett has emotional and physical scars on him and inside him so which she can relate to because she has the same broken spirit. Between the two of them they learn how to trust each other and in turn heal each other!! This is a beautiful love story that you have to read!! Totally a stand alone book but you can appreciate it more if you read the whole series!! Can't wait for the next book in this series!! Time for the other Lawson brothers to get their HEA!!1 like

I started reading this series in 2013, and I'm still with it.It's beautifully written with great characters and sweet and sexy romance.This book is as enjoyable as all the others, and I'm already looking forward to J.S. Scott's next one in August.

Another great tale of our cavemen billionaire bachelor's finding his soul mate and regaining their own self esteem in the end.As I have been giving a review after each book in the series. What I have failed to comment on are about the women whom they fall hard for. Coming to a deeper understanding of each book, most of the women have gone through a deep loss, low self-esteem, mental and physical abuse, rape and homelessness.The author spins a marvelous story of struggles women face day to day. Whether they are poor or from the very wealthy, you find yourself relating to each of their experiences, even if you haven't been affected by the situations they've endured while trying to make it in the world.Great story, only two pet peeves: 1. Seemed to be more of Ruby's story than Jett's.2. Rare mention of Harper's pregnancy. Which should have been mentioned. Granted, yes the author did reference it once Jett and Ruby came to Colorado but not like it should have been acknowledged.Like Asha's pregnancy in Kade's story, no further mentioning of her pregnancy either. I do however recall it, during a chapter in Simon's and Kara's story relating to Christmas and the little boy the subsequently adopted.All in all, loving the series, 6 more books to go...
