Works great, easy to install! I'm not the handiest of guys, but even I was able to make it work. Got it installed and it doesn't leak a drop! It feels light, so I'm not sure how it will handle freezes and thaws, but if you're seeing this after the winter of 2025 assume it's still working great! If it fails, I will update this review.

This is a pretty decent rain barrel spigot. Unlike most of the brass spighots out there, this one has a larger internal apeture so you get much better flow and it is less prone to clogging. Unlike other PVC bulkhead style setups that I've tried, where the threads easily strip or the plastic nut "skips" under light tightening, the threads on this one are deep and solid allowing a super tight fit. The nut is thick and has good tolerance. It is very easy to over tighten and crush the silicon washer, displacing it and preventing a good seal. That happened to me. I was about to give a one star review and return it as my initial test resulted in a bad leak. Not a drip but a stream. As it turned out that was self inflicted. Upon closer inspection I could see that I overtightened the thru-barrel fitting and grossly deformed the silicon sealing washer squeezing it out past the flange. Backing way off of the nut resulted in the washer returning to its original shape and size. Retightening it to a more reasonable torque (a little past snug but not super tight) resulted in a leak free installation. Other reviews here stated that 1) the provided Teflon tape was thin and useless and 2) that the fitting needed two sealing washers. I disagree. They provide a whole roll of Tape in the kit so I just made 6 wraps on each connection and it works just fine. If you deburr the hole you drilled in the barrel to remove plastic remnants, the one included sealing washer placed on the inside works just fine. As to longevity and durability, that remains to be seen but for now, I approve.

We bought this spigot to make a rain barrel. We used a 32 gallon trash can with a lid, drilled a hole, and used silicone to seal the inside once we installed the spigot. There are a few videos on YouTube on this. It was easy and it lasted us all year so far!

Much better that the spigots that came with the rain barrels. Even though the old spigots we 3/4 inch the water did not come out of the rain barrels fast and would sometimes clog from day one. After replacing the spigots with these the water comes out much faster and because the opening seems to be larger it has not clogged once.

Just what we needed for our rain barrels. They were easy to use and seem quite durable. We applied the silicone tape (included) and have no leaks. If you look at my photos, you can see we reversed some Duck tape on a measuring stick and stuck the inner fitting to it. We were then able to lower the fitting in to the bottom of our barrel and thru the pre-drilled hole. Once through the hole, the washer and spigot screw on easily.
