Really Good
I think I've finally figured out why despite the weirdness, silliness, and inconsistent storytelling, I still like the Turtles so much. This collection perfectly illustrates it too.I like the randomness and unpredictability of the stories. I really like the art. Those clean black and white lines are very easy on the eyes. I also like how the comics are often adult themed. This collection marks the first time I've seen a real long term comic storyline, with "City at War". It doesn't make a lot of sense, and I feel like all the skipped issues missing from these collections are starting to take their toll. But it's still really good. Recommended.

Another great throwback about the Turtles in a very nice Hard Cover!
I added this book to my previous three hard back book collection about the Turtles. Of course, this book rates right up there with the previous three; I admire the artwork, stories and all of the hard work that the artists put into it. This is a quality book. It may have critics. I'm not one.

Like TMNT with a director's commentary
What I like about these books is that they are several of the books compiled into one, they're hard cover and they are still in black and white. I still have the original Mirage (the original original) comics, so I'm comparing these to those. However, I am mostly interested in just the stories, and not the collectibility of each book, so I'm wanting to consolidate the stories into one book. These books are perfect for that, and what's more, it's like they come with a director's commentary, having both Eastman's and Laird's comments for each page.

Story Gap?
I loved the Ninja Turtles TV show as a kid and, despite coming into their comic book origins late in the game, I'm adoring them even more now that I have these books. The sheer grit and depth of story is amazing to behold. My only issue is the HUGE gap between volumes 3 and 4. I wasn't sure at first, but I noticed that 27 comics are not covered between the two books. There may be a reason behind this jump that the authors intended, but I'm almost disappointed to be skipping that much story in between. Either way, I still love them and look forward to reading the others.

I am glad I bought all of these at once
I am glad I bought all of these at once, after reading the third book in the Ultimate collection I had to continue on to this one. The stories are great and its very interesting to see what Eastman and Laird have to say about each story. The stories in this and all the others are intense.

Awesome
Simply beautiful. I don't understand the purpose of the elite personal guard of shredder here because in one scene, he was helping them, but then he said he seeks vengeance. I'm a little confused. Other than that, I just simply love tmnt.

great book but
great book but..... where the flaming hell are 22-47 i don't care if they are done by someone else i thought i was buying the ultimate collection here yes roll 6 is some of there short works an i think should have been placed within the other voll's wherever they came out in the timeline but to miss so many issues seems like some sort of bad joke one of the reasons i got this series was to have all the old comics weather done by them or not or even if they were not as good as someone seems to have stated before so now i don't have a full collection thanks

Fun
A lot of character development which continues to the next collection. Also, the Foot Clan storyline is full of action.
