Great item, easy to set up and use
Easy to set up. Ive only added half the amount of water and the resistant is more than enough. Its not too loud when in use. Screen is quite basic, but it shows all the info you need. There is also a phone holder in front of the screen, great for watching shows whilst you row!

Well built machine
This is my third rowing machine in 5 years. It took about an hour for me to build and I'm not technically minded so that's a plus for a start. I ignored the manual and followed the helpful video I found on the Amazon product page itself. The machine itself is very robust, the seat is comfortable and the rowing action is smooth. Being a water rowing machine, you adjust the resistance by adding or removing water from it. There's a scale on the side of the water tank from 0 to 6 and you just fill the water level up to the required level (I have mine at 4.5 and row for 30 minutes every day, - enough exercise for this 56 years old man)My only gripe so far is that there's no info about maintenance or fitting a replacement coil or indeed if there is a replacement coil to fit. My last 2 rowers ended up at a recycling centre as I was not capable of fixing them. Providing information upfront about maintenance would greatly help with the buying process instead of having a machine for about a year and a half and suddenly finding out that the main part has failed and you have to buy a new part and dismantle the machine to fit it.That complaint aside, so far, so good with this one. I also bought it at a really good price (it was reduced to £288 for a short period).Update - It's now been 8 months since I've purchased the machine and it's still going strong despite being used on an almost daily basis. Very robust machine. I did email the manufacturers regarding maintenance and they told me that the rowing mechanism utilised "resistance bands" which in their words meant that I should have years of trouble free rowing. Time will tell but things are looking good so far.

Received full ‘no quibbles’ refund after rower broke
My original review is below. I am now updating this after my interaction with customer support, which I must say was excellent: both rapid and reasonable. After explaining that the unit was likely a defective one, customer support provided me with a full refund. I have therefore raised the review to 4 stars — it’s disappointing that the rower broke but a full “no quibbles” refund is a good response to the situation.[Original one-star review, title: Broken after fewer than 20 rows ]Before this rower, I used a semi-pro model that cost 4x as much, but which lasted over 12 years with use several times a week. When eventually it started to leak, I purchased this one — I knew it was a gamble that I’d get acceptable quality for a much lower price, but I figured I’d go for it.On the good side: This rower looks nice, and is quite easy to assemble. It is, at first, very quiet to use. The feel of rowing on it is not quite as nice as a more professional water rower, but it’s actually pretty impressive for the price.HOWEVER: After about 6 sessions, it got a bit more noisy with a clicking sound at the start of each stroke. Then, after a few more sessions it developed a louder ‘clunk’ at the start of the stroke. Finally, today something broke and now the strap no longer retracts, making rowing impossible. While I row fairly hard for a middle aged guy (tho not an athlete by any stretch) this was a disappointment.I’ll see about a return but really at this stage, I think the lesson is that if you want to row with the kind of force you would be able to apply to a professional gym machine, this ISN’T the machine for you. On the other hand if you’re planning quite light use then it may well do a good job.

Great piece of kit
Purchased this rowing machine in late February after purchasing a magnetic one in November and it didn't last . So impressed with this Jorotowater rower a sturdy rower and it feels so much better than my last one . Very comfortable seat and the screen gives you all the information you need .if I was being ultra fussy I wanted this rower as I wanted to use it in the early hours while others in the house are sleeping, the water part of it is much quieter than the magnetic one but the hard plastic runners on the aluminium bar is quite noisy and I can't use without waking other people up . It is far superior than the last one, I'm just hoping that it lasts. As far as my last one nothing from company i still haven't had any response from them thankfully Amazon have sorted it . This Rower is so far been a great purchase and I wouldn't question purchasing it .

Outstanding
As a 50 year old man , I’m not in the best shape but I have it set at just over half resistance and it gives you a hell of a workout so there is plenty of room for adding resistance for the more serious rowers and it is very easy to assemble. The sound of the water gives you a feeling of actually rowing outside but it’s not a loud machine at all , I would highly recommend this product as it turned up quickly was perfectly packaged to prevent damage and very easy to assemble, it did take a bit of time to set the level of resistance being a water resistance machine but that is to be expected but once it’s set up it is really good to use and the seat is comfortable and glides really well, I can’t say enough good things about this product or supplier as they kept in contact throughout my purchase and after to make sure I had got it and I received in perfect condition

Impressed by the build quality and general finish .
A very professional looking piece of equipment that was easy to assemble and performed as it should. It is extremely easy to store in a vertical position this reducing the footprint substantially.

Doesn’t recognise when you are rowing
The product looks great but only worked for a few days. We thought the batteries were done but replaced them today. It would appear that the machine turns on ok when the buttons are pressed but it doesn’t recognise if you are rowing. When you start to row it’s meant to turn in but doesn’t, also it doesn’t show any progress on the screen when rowing. I’d suggest the sensor is broken. Literally only a few days old and used about 4 times.
