Chord C-Digital Coaxial Cable (0.5 metre)

Did anyone's cable come loose unwrapped in a chord box which also wasn't sealed ? The cable seems ok, although because the box wasn't sealed and the cable loose inside. IAM not sure now if it was a return I purchased or a fake? It seems so unprofessional. Another thing is that I now have to turn the volume on my Marantz Up to 28 to get it to medium listening volume... full would be 50 Before it was on 11 to get to the same volume? Let me know please so I can possibly initiate a return from Amazon.

If your serious like me about sound quality, separation and sound staging then this cable will not disappoint. I had to use a cheap coaxil cable for a temporary period and rather hated the muffled sound it was creating. Swapped to using this Chord cable and my oh my what a difference. Definitely no placebo effect here. Streaming from various artists and genre's from CD 16bit 44. kHz up to 24bit 192kHz every track sounds so bright. I have a very modest system, Marantz, Wiim Pro, Schitt and KEF iq5's and this cable brings out the best quality. Worth every penny I paid. Thanks Chord!

Bought this as I'd read the internal DAC on my new Technics SUG700 amp outperformed the inbuilt DAC I was initially intending to use on the Blusound Powernode 2i for streaming - and although I had a very high end pair of interconnects to use, I did an A/B test between the pair and it was no contest. The soundstage, timing and depth of bass I get via the Chord Coaxial simply knocked socks off the RCA's I was initially intending to use - to the point my wife who isn't as bothered about these things could clearly notice the difference. Her words for review were 'it's like there's curtains over the speakers when you had those cables (the RCA's) in' - so no snake oil here! If you stream music at Hi Res levels - treat yourself and your system to the Chord - why cheat yourself! One not though - make sure you properly measure how much cable you need to get from component to component. I wanted the shortest run possible so I went for the 0.5m one (as I had the room to move the streamer to the amp) but it could be tight for others...

Too stiff for its short length- puts a strain on whatever its plugged into unless it isn't required to bend. The actual connections are too tight also.

Just does what you want without fuss

Hifi can be an expensive and daunting place especially when it comes to cables and connectors. This Chord is not cheap but you know its going to do the job!

So did my research before buying this, my first ‘expensive’ cable (although it isn’t at all when compared to some but is for me). Will it be ‘snake oil’ or the real deal? I’ll take the risk. Connected as instructed between my cd and integrated amp. Amazed is all I can say. I thought if it makes any audible difference to my system it would have been worth it but I just wasn’t ready for such a change. I’ve left it a week to write this and it’s made a difference as time has gone by so is ‘burn in’ a real thing as well? Harsh high notes are now softer or rolled off, the bass has suddenly appeared from my Elac speakers and I don’t have to turn it up as much to get similar volumes. I still don’t get how a cable can be directional but this works for me so RCA’s are next.

Gutes Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis. Guter (detaillierter, dynamischer) Klang an meiner Anlage. Gut verarbeitet (Verbindung Kabel/Stecker). Letztendlich sind Kabel immer subjektiv ... einfach ausprobieren.
