My holistic vet recommended this probiotic for my dog. She recommends for all dogs. It not for cats although they do make a separate product for cats and one for humans also. She told me traditional probiotics never make it to your pet's gut. Ever. Quite simply, they don't survive the acid and bile in the stomach. I received this as a gift. My Lab Has a nervous digestive tract and would have very loose bowel movements while walking on a leash. This product helped her. She now has enough control to get off of the sidewalk into the grass and her movements are still soft but much better than they were (and easier to clean up)!
