Xtraordinary Home Products Multi Mandolin

Generally I use a knife to hand cut veggies, cheeses, fruits, etc, until I made a huge pot of veggie soup the other day. I spent almost an hour cutting up all the different ingredients, the soup was great but I felt it took to much time out of my day to prepare. I purchased this mandolin to see if it would help at all. I decided to make the soup again using my new toy, and wow what a difference! The slicing of potatoes, celery, onions, zucchini, and about a dozen other veggies was a breeze. Everything looked great and had a very uniform size and shape. I threw everything in the pot and waited on the final product. I'm very happy with the purchase of this mandolin, and for around 15 bucks it was a real time saver. Clean up took a few minutes, but was well worth it for the time saved on actual slicing and dicing. Id highly recommend adding this tool to your kitchen.

I have had many of this type of slicer before and there has always been something I didn't like. Either the product was cheap or it didn't do what it claimed to do. This mandolin slicer is well built. It slices very easy and consistantly perfect. I love that the attachments are stored in the body of the unit. You don't have to worry about cutting your self or trying to find them or damaging the cutters edge. This is a well constructed appliance that works perfectly.

This product is horrible; it doesn't work, and was missing a blade when I received it. I should have sent it back but I discarded the box prior to using it, my mistake. The blades pictured are not the blades that I received. The product I received doesn't look like the one pictured. The only nice thing I have to say about it is that it stores nicely in the back depths of my cupboard where horrible appliances go to die until they are unveiled for our Biennial goodwill donation which this one is destined. I recomend spending a bit more to get a better product.

I like that it stores together in one piece. The blades are sharp and cut well. It is also easy to clean. I do not like that the crinkle cut blade is on the end of the mandolin and makes it hard to use. But overall, I would purchase again.

the product is not up to par. The thickness of the cuts cannot be changed. With the multiple blades still hard to handle and be useful unless you just want sandwich cuts

Good for the price. Straight blade slices potato chip thin, too thin for pickle/cucumber chips. Not adjustable..

I like items which are easy to store. With this slicer, all the pieces stay in one place. They fit tightly in the slicer and the slicer fits well to the lip of the bowl while I use it. This makes switching the cuts quick and easy when I want variety in a dish. I've read reviews which complain about having to wash all the parts each time they use it or having to remove all the parts before using it. This material is easy to clean (my old one held stains. I find that simply washing the surfaces I have used and rinsing the entire assembled unit is makes the job easier. Idon't use a dishwasher as dishwashers dull cutting blades on slicers or knives.

It works !.....good for the price.
