best cup of coffee I've ever had
I'm 42 and recently have been experiencing nausea from my morning cup of coffee. I had heavily researched my options to include low acid coffees (taste bland) and various filters. Finally, I discovered ceramic filters like this one. I have had it in my cart for months, but because I am cheap- could not bring myself to make the purchase. so when my mesh coffee filter got mangled in the sink and it was time to replace it, I thought, "what the heck?" and went for this one. I anxiously awaited its arrival- it arrived FAST with overnight shipping. first off, it is extremely cute and the aesthetic value cannot be overstated. second, it does, in fact, brew a delicious cup of coffee. I imagine this is what coffee really should taste like- rich, full bodied, without a hint of acid. my stomach is pleased and so is my palate. as for the drawbacks, there are a few. one, it is expensive. second, it is apparently fragile, and cannot be "banged out" to clear the grounds like other types. it must be delicately hand washed each time. for me, it is worth the trade off- but this might be an issue for some. lastly, because of the ceramic composition, it is somewhat cumbersome to brew directly into a ceramic cup. I have a beautiful handmade cup that I brew coffee into- but again, the product is delicate, and must be carefully placed into the cup so neither gets chipped. if youre an old fart like me, and enjoy a delicious cup and have the money to spend, it is well worth it. I would not recommend it for homes with kids or anywhere there might be risk of breakage, at this price, I would probably cry if it broke.

Great craftsmanship, beautiful, & functional reusable ceramic coffee filter 👍
*** Reusable and environmental friendly is the best feature *** What I got from this product is excellent quality craftsmanship made in Japan. It is a bit expensive but justified… a functional novelty nicely to be included in my coffee brewing gears :-) I started using this reusable ceramic coffee filter today and loving it with the initial brew.. The medium coarse 15g coffee ground with 250g hot water took about 1 minutes and 20 seconds with slow pour. The filtered coffee tasted great with more flavors & oil passed through than pour over / Aeropress paper filters. Next time I will try finer grind to slow down the filtration and see if the taste will be different.. always experimenting to make fun brews .. Also I like to try this filter with tea and whiskies in the future :-) Easy cleanup afterwards:-) … I used sink water spray to rinse inside and outside of the ceramic filter. The coffee ground came off easily. I also use filtered water to boil in small pot over gas stove and rotated the ceramic filter slowly on its side for 5 minutes so it can be cleaned and sterilized by boiling hot water. After this, just placed the filter upside down on a paper towel and let it completely dry on the counter, then put away for storage. Just be careful handling this fragile ceramic coffee filter. If you are in a rush, use the regular paper filter instead. It is a nice show-off novelty gear for your house guests to enjoy while sharing coffee brews :-)

Makes a perfect pour over, but gets clogged easily
I was loving my ceramic filter for the first month or two. It made fantastic coffee and cleaned easily in boiling water. A couple months in to daily use, and I can no longer get it to completely unclog. Brew times are getting longer and longer and often I cannot get all of the water to steep through the grounds and the filter. If there are any tips from the manufacturer, I would love to hear them. If the filter continued to perform the way it did at first, it would be a 5 star product.

Makes a great tasting, smooth cup of coffee.
My new go to means for making a cup of coffee. Grind the beans, place the grounds in the filter sitting over a cup, and pour hot water over. Pretty straightforward, and makes a smooth and delicious cup of coffee; dependent upon the quality of beans you use, of course. The filter takes up the least amount of space of the coffee makers I do have, including a French press. The filter is very easy to clean as well. Once the filter has cooled enough to handle, you just dump the grounds, and rinse the filter out. Soap is not recommended, as it could get trapped in the pores, and you’ll end up with a soapy tasting cup of coffee. If you let the grounds sit for a couple hours (if you forget about it as I have done many times), it can begin to stain the ceramic. It still works fine and doesn’t affect the taste, though. After a number of uses the filter drip may slow. You’ll just need to refresh it following the care instructions. The gist is to place the filter in a pot of boiling water to extract any oils that are clogging the filter. It should be good as new after that. I have not broken it, but take care as the filter is a bit fragile, because it’s ceramic.

Excellent reusable coffee filter
Have been using the filter since covid, works great until coffee oils clog it and it slows down. Hard to clean and hasn't worked as well as the first 5 uses or so.

Not plastic
This coffee filter has a great feel, and I love that is has a small bowl to put it in after use. Its also very attractive. Cleaning it is a little work, as the coffee grounds stick to it. Maybe it's my imagination, but coffee poured through this tastes way better than with any other filter i have used. That it could be a bit larger is my only criticism.
