This is my experience using this with my Galaxy S8 phone and a Kenwood DDX9705S head unit.First of all, install was easier than I expected. Only 2 cables, power and ground to hooked up. I connected power to my cigarette lighter and ground to a screw. I plugged in the RCA cables into my Kenwood using the Kenwood adapter. It worked right away showing up in my AV input.From there, it was a bit confusing how I went to actually use it. First I tried to connect to the wifi network, but then I had no internet, that was a problem of course and I still couldnt see my screen. After some google searches, I realized you have to share your screen using Samsung's Smart View. The way I have found to access it was to go into my pictures, select a picture, hit share, and one of the options is Smart View. Once I share the picture it shares my whole screen and I can use any app after that and it shows up. I am sure there is a more simple way to do this, but havent got that far yet.One fantastic feature of Smart View is it allows you to change your phone resolution. The S8 has a weird resolution that shows black bars on my car head unit screen. But in the options of smart view, I can change the resolution to 16:9 and then it shows up perfectly. If only I could remove that annoying clock that wont go away on the Kenwood receiver.Another great feature is that the screen can shut off on your phone while using smart view, so you can play videos or whatever and have your screen off, so it doesnt get as hot or burn battery.The quality was great and so far I havent had any issues with it, though I just set it up.As far as downsides, I was hoping I would be able to use this while also using Android Auto. For example, I could have navigation up on Android Auto while playing videos on in video in. While this does work initially, as soon as you switch from Android Auto to AV in and it starts playing, it kicks you back to android auto. So far, I havent figured out a way to make this work.Of course I could just run NAV on my phone and use it while sharing my screen, but I cant interact with the touch screen of course that way.Overall, so far I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

I bought two of these (one for each car). One consistently disconnects after about 2 or 3 minutes, the other never does with the same phones connected.
