Well designed, good starter ice bath.
The Arctic Pod Pink Portable Ice Bath Outdoor TubWell designed basic plunge pool - its 72cm high and about 80cm in diameter. Tap at the bottom allows drainage though the insulated lid and dust cover does allow for reuse.Relatively easy to construct with the rigid poles and inflatable rim. In use its stable enough.

Weeping leak
Has a slow leak from bottom corner joint from new. A shame as otherwise great and an effective recovery tool.

Great ice bath for less than the bigger brands
These ice baths are all very similar in look and construction, so it serves you well to shop around.First of all, this ice bath is very easy to build. It comes 'flat packed' and all you need to do is extend it out to the appropriate size and then place the rods down into the side. You then fill it up with cold water and this will ensure it keeps its shape.Keeping the temperature down in winter is not difficult. The ice bath sits at around 5 degrees, which is plenty cold enough for the benefits of mental training and recovery. If you do want to make it colder or keep the temperature down as it does warm up, you can either use ice or you can fill 500ml water bottles and place them into the freezer (this can work out as a big cost-saver as you simply reuse the bottles over and over). Another way is to fill 5L-10L Tupperware boxes with water and place them into your freezer. A further bonus is that you get a thermal lid with the ice bath - some companies will ask you to pay extra for these.Cleaning the ice bath is a bit of a pain, but essentially you will want to empty the bath using the plug on the side of the ice bath. You will then want to spray some skin-friendly solution onto the side of the ice bath and scrub it as best you can, then fill it back up. You will need to do this weekly if you are using the bath a lot, but you can look into getting some bromine or some chlorine and adding a very small amount to the ice bath, which will mean you only need to do this about every 4 weeks. Finally, the pink colour is quite unique - most come in black. This is going to be an obvious choice if you have a guy and girl in the house who want to bath at the same time - it makes it easy to have a 'his' and 'hers'.Overall, this is a very durable ice bath that is simple to build and easy to keep cold!

Superb, well made, easy to set up - The Arctic Pod Pink Portable Ice Bath Outdoor Tub
I was wondering how much of a faff it might be to set one of these up, but needn't have worried; it's actually really easy to do. It's way easier than your average tent for example. A few poles, inflate the top ring, attach the tap drain, fill it.Quality is excellent throughout and it has everything you need, plus a couple of spare bits (pole ends, rubber ring for tap drain, puncture patches, hand pump for the inflatable bits), and it also has a collapsible pipe to attach to the drain tap to help take the water where you want it when you empty it.After setting it up we've decided the best place is on the patio as there's the ideal spot for it. I think I'll use a rug under it though; it may well be really well made but I don't fancy prematurely wearing out the underside of it against the stone slabs so a piece of rug or similar will suffice.I noticed also that the main walls and bottom of this are padded with insulation too, which makes the whole thing more robust and will keep things nice and cold too.I got this particularly for my wife as she's been reading and hearing quite a lot about these ice baths. There does seem to be gathering evidence that it does your body a lot of good, which isn't too much of a surprise when you read about the long history of things like saunas and snow baths afterwards.Despite that she has opted to put this away until the weather is a bit warmer! Apparently there's no point going in a freezing garden to sit in a freezing bath... Up to her I guess, she's the boss! Looking forward to it myself, especially when the weather is hot in the summer! We have an ice machine in the freezer always primed and ready. So overall a very well made thing, easy to set up and comes with all the stuff shown, including an insulated cover and top cover too.I'm quite impressed with it, also as it came in a neat box that wasn't very big! I thought it might be massive but it would drop in your car boot with the shopping it's that handy if you want to lug it about anywhere.Yep, top marks from me, it's a very good thing.
