I have noticed that the equipment that comes with a new vehicle to change flat tires is getting cheaper and smaller all the time. The tool supplied with my vehicle was hopeless, but this item worked much better, now I keep it in the back of the truck.

When this item comes from its manufactur the center of the Star Ranch where the two pieces of metal are connected has extremely sharp edges I either run electrical tape or duct tape or anything around the center to cover the sharp edge.If this is not done and for some reason as you're using it it will slice whatever bit of Flesh gets around it it is extremely sharp. I hope the manufacturer read some of these reviews and maybe makes a change for the product. That is why it only has four out of five stars. Otherwise this item works as intended and is a great addition to having to change a tire on the side of the road with plenty of Leverage for loosening lug nuts. I would also recommend that if you come home from a tire store you use this item in your driveway and break the lug nuts loose and then retighten them with it so that when you are on the road you know you will be able to loosen the lug nuts to put the spare tire on in the case of a flat tire. Just some advice from someone who's been on the side of the road in the rain with a flat tire and the lug nuts are so tight that the star wrench is not even able to loosen them let alone remove them.
