Mike And Molly: Season 1 [DVD] [2010] [2012]

I'm still watching the first season on DVD (I have 4 episodes left) but I have to say that I'm not sorry to have bought the DVD. I didn't know the show from TV and was just guided by the reviews (and the fact that I liked Melissa McCarthy in "Gilmore Girls" a lot). I think this show is really cute, funny and I enjoy watching the two main characters living the ups and downs of their relationship. Okay, the fat and sex jokes get a little out of hand at times (and I don't know why they have to refer to poop all the time), but that makes it realistic at the same time. And Mike and Molly seem like well-rounded characters through that. The other characters, especially Molly's sister Victoria (the thin dumb) and her mother (even thinner, ageing, but still pretending to be the hottest women), are very flat but to my mind add to the funny side of the show. Oh, and let's not forget Carl, Mike's work partner, and their hilarious everyday-banter, just like an old married couple! Anyway, it's a good show and I'm looking forward to season 2!

This is a review by someone who has actually used his hard earned cash to buy something as opposed to the increasing number of reviewers who are getting huge numbers of free samples. Could we get lucky and get some free samples ourselves? No, because they either work for Amazon or have a link to some dodgy way of writing a 5-star review. Beware Amazon, we will not put up with it. PRODUCT REVIEW - Missed this series first time around, series one is growing on me.

This is a strange show that I found hard to enjoy. The acting and writing is quite good, and the cast are likeable, but there's a strange juxtaposition whereby scenes flip between being very soppy (talking about love and emotions) and quite filthy (making crude sexual references). Maybe that won't bother some viewers but I found it a little off-putting.

I love this actress a great laugh,I loved her in idenity theft and the heat,so I heard about mike and molly and yes its as good as I thought it would begreat value for for money and it was only £6.00 which was even better as was on offer,she so so funny all the cast are very funny aswell,going to buy the second season soon thankyou amozon a very good watch the best.

As a massive Melissa McCarthy fan, this doesn’t disappoint.Watched back to back over a couple of day.Looking forward to purchasing the next season

I love this show, its just so funny.....both the characters in the main role seem to work so well together and the other characters have just gotten better and better as the season went along. It really cheers me up this show and is a refreshing change! The DVD box set is also a real steal at this price for a full length season!
