I thought these would have been stronger to keep hair/wig in place . But they just didn’t feel secure

I have rather wispy bangs that due to aging are not growing as long as they used too. Having recently had my inner helix pierced twice (I know I'm not 21, but I don't care). These are small enough to enable me to keep my hair from my ears and piercings. I've also noticed that if I do a tiny tight plait it is almost like having a none surgical face lift.
