Great Danes Very Happy
We have three Great Danes 80kg plus and have gone through so many dog beds too many to mention, so after reading the reviews we ordered just one of these beds to put through our Danes dog bed obliteration test and its survived remaining intact. This bed is tough, waterproof and very very comfy. Just wrote this review as we are about to order a couple more.

Very pleased.
Firstly, I have to state this. 'There is no such thing as chew proof dog beds!!!' So if your dog is a habitual chewer you're better off spending time on training it first as I had to do with my two anxiety prone dogs. They have teeth and jaw strength meant to rip and tear flesh and bone if they were in the wild. Dogs will happily chew sticks to pieces so thinking that some fabric material is not going be any issue for a determined chewer is misguided hope.My two dogs have destroyed a number of beds in their first 12 months, but now, after lots of patience and training plus giving them bovine horns to chew to help aleviate boredom (which have lasted me ages) they now leave the bed alone. Though they did find the beading around the edge a bit tasty so I cut that off to remove temptation.Right, the bed itself is rather good in my opinion. With a waterproof cover that can be removed to be washed in the machine it protects the inside padding from smelling by keeping a large portion of their dirt, dead skin cells and fur out of it.I personally don't recommend hosing it down as when dogs scratch around to make themselves comfy before laying down it starts to separate the waterproof membrane from the outer layer after a while so a hosing would soak the stuffing and that's a stuffing you dont want to get wet if you can avoid it.The filling is a bit lumpy but with patience and a bit of beating here and there it flattens nicely and stays comfy for weeks and week without degrading. Though the occasional rearranging is worth doing to keep it evenly padded all over. This bed stays warm on the floor in the winter keeping out the cold and I've even fallen asleep on it with them.DO NOT shake the bed like your airing a blanket or the filling will bunch, ball up and be next to impossible to flatten out again without shallow areas. All together the outer layer is a robust fabric that's the same as a horse blanket, tear resistant to claws and bone chewing. The filling, if looked after remains full and warm even after a few months of use and compacted slightly still with enough give to be comfy and firm. None of my 8 dogs over the years have liked a soft bed and enjoy the comfy yet still relatively firm base this bed gives. My only disappointment was that the waterproof membrane on the inside peels off quite early on with all the scratching, scuffing, bone chewing and bed arranging my dogs make as this helps to keep it smelling cleaner for longer.I have spend lots of money on numerous dog beds, over the years; from cheap ones to expensive ones and this is by far the best I have found and I put a hell of a lot of hours into looking and reading what was on offer. Like any bed it won't last you years so unless I plan on keeping it until it's falling to bits and flat as cardboard I will be buying another of these when it gets a bit too tattered in around 12 months or so as I've already had a few months of useage out of it.

Long lasting
I bought this bed over 3 years ago and i am about to buy another one because the original is going strong. My dog is over 40K (lean) and we are always in the forrest. Its is hardwearing, washable and long lasting. I am only getting another one for a different room. The filling wears thin but that is to be expected, I have just topped it up with an old single duvet. It would have saved me a fortune if i just got this bed first!

Well made and great value
This is extremely well made, a fantastic dog bed and worth every penny. It’s quite firm but that just means it’s durable. The XXXL fits both my labradors on together.
