Alex Espinoza has a very enticing story as a former police officer who's turned himself into a lucrative entrepreneur. I will be honest here: I liked the hook that he built his online business in only a couple of years. I've been playing with the idea for some time and his story gives me such a vote of confidence to do the work and take the leap. Espinoza has worked hard, and it shows. BUT, he also shares the accessible steps and tools so that anyone who has a good idea can implement a successful game plan, too. His voice is easy, cool, and collected. He is a great storyteller, which also differentiates this book from other ones I've read recently.And that's the other element of this book I really enjoy...it isn't dry. Building a business can be a fun, exciting adventure, and it should be. There are so many resources, however, that are just plain boring. In fact, the dullness I've come across in resources can make a person question if they're really cut out for this career path. Building a business feels fun and attainable with this read. I am excited to implement the guidance and see where it takes me. Totally inspired. I'm already seeing a difference in my steps forward as I examine the people around me helping to grow my dream and adopting a resilient mindset to keep me chugging along!!!!

There are specific steps for people who want to get into those businesses, but the book provides general guidance for any entrepreneur who wants to build a huge business. He recommends delegating tasks, building a trustworthy team, and strong communication. There are websites and tools you can access to grow yourself and your business. It’s a short read, so it’s possible to read it quickly and then go back to the beginning to read more in-depth. This is a great book for entrepreneurs!

San Francisco and Oakland are in my backyard, so it was fun being able to relate to the places he referred to. Honestly, this is a fun read even if you don't want to become an entrepreneur; the author's story and storytelling are captivating enough alone. His tales of trials and triumphs are something everyone can appreciate.The reality is though, the American dream of our parents' generation is no more, it's time to look to people like Paul who have forged the way into financial success and freedom. His concept of "you vs you," and the notion that wanting a million dollar life requires more than a minimum wage mindset is a great way to look at things. Surround yourself with the right people, culture leadership skills and people skills, and keep learning...these things will get you further than anything else.This book is full of inspiring and practical advice. The author's pit falls and learning experiences make the new American dream feel more like a possibility. This information is current, relevant, and applicable. If you're considering walking away from the 9-5 grind, you can't go wrong with spending a little time with this book.

I love that he is honest from the beginning that it takes hard work to make a dream count and oftentimes more investment than a lot of influencers like to admit. Espinoza is extremely realistic about setting goals and not expecting overnight success, as he states becoming a millionaire is going to take more than a minimum wage mindset and wanting to always be “safe.” He shares many helpful tactics like networking, financial management, having a growth mentality, finding a niche, building an unforgettable brand, and staying fresh on new technologies and trends. This is an easy and engaging read, and probably relatable to many of us going through difficult times trying to work hard just to make it by while also balancing real life and relationships. Even if you’re not exactly ready to leave your own comfortable career, Espinoza’s story and tips are inspiring and intriguing.
