Sold a used system
This is used! The package was not sealed and it is obviously used. There is dirt on the bottom of the base, the cord is not wrapped, and there are fingerprints all over the remote. Not happy

Very cool and versatile webcam
I'm a big fan of J5create products and have quite a few of them. This is the first webcam from the brand that I've tried and it's a good one. First of all, I want to thank J5create for including an actual case for the product--like an actual high end electronic device. You'd be amazed at how many tech companies of all stripes will sell you an expensive product and then leave you hanging with storing and transporting it. Sure, you can buy a case either OEM or from an aftermarket vendor but often they're just general 'electronics' cases. J5create thought enough of their customers to include a dedicated case. A month or so ago I upgraded the camera in the conference room at my place of business. I got a well known product that cost several times what this one does and there was no storage of any type included.Anyway, this is a really impressive little camera that is well thought out and has a unique form factor. I haven't delved into many of the conference centric features yet but it works great as a basic webcam for Zoom calls, video conferencing, etc. It has 5 different modes, four of which are specific to multiple person conference situations. The AI to follow you around and keep you framed works really well, the audio also works well and the built in microphone transmitted my voice loud and clear. The noise cancellation was extremely impressive for a product at this price point. It worked plug and play with my wife's Mac, my laptop and desktop running Ubuntu and a Windows computer I had at the house for some reason. It also worked like a charm with Zoom and Skype and I would imagine any number of other platforms. So many well thought out touches starting with the attached USB cable *and* USB A adapter. The lens cap is magnetic and didn't come off when I was putting it in the case or during a long flight. A mount is included and works really well but the camera can attach to any tripod or mount with a 1/4" screw (ie: most of them). The cam itself has very clear LED indicators and all of the controls necessary to operate on the face. There's a decent speaker on the back of the cam. I usually go with a headset for one person video calls but the microphone/speaker is perfectly functional. It can also be operated with the remote control.I've tested dozens of conference cams and this one outperforms many that cost much more. It might not be able to hang with the top of the line products for large conference situations but for random two or three (or more) person conferences--as well as general webcam use at the office--it's got to be the best 'bang for the buck' on the market. The price point is astounding relative to the performance of this product. I had looked at j5create cams in the past but they didn't strike me as anything special. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing to distinguish them from countless others. With this product, j5create is on the verge of the big leagues. Very highly recommended!

Some good. Some bad. Some meh.
I'm really on the fence with this webcam. It does have some great features that are countered by some less desirable ones. What I like:- The camera has some great built-in tech- The AI face tracking works very well- The digital zoom, pan, and centering is very useful- The remote is a handy addition- The size isn't so large that it feels obtrusive- The multi-participant camera stitching is pretty amazing- It is very easy to switch between modes.- The field of view without distortion is quite impressive.- Color and lighting control works well- Connected seamlessly to ZoomWhat I'm MEH about:- I like the magnetic privacy lens cap, but with no tether, this is 100% going to get lost in an office environment.- I like the solid mounting base, but the mounting post should have been extendable or, at the very least, the camera should have come with an additional post to increase the height.- I like that there is a desktop app to control the camera, but it does not control all of the features of the camera the way the remote does. I found it particularly odd that you cannot mute the mic from within the app. What I don't like:- While the tech of the camera is solid, the shell is not the best construction. There is a grade of plastic that has a cheap, milky-white, almost semi-translucent appearance to it. This is the plastic used on this device.- The camera/mic is always on if it is plugged in. You should have the ability to completely turn it off or it should automatically go into standby when not in use.- Similarly, the camera will not stay in a muted state when plugged into a computer. Anytime the power is cycled, the unit will reactivate the mic by default. The desktop app allows you to save settings, but the mic setting does not appear to be one of those settings.- There is a constant low-grade electronic buzzing that the camera produces when connected to power. I suspect it is from the internal servo motors, but can find no way to turn it off other than unplugging the camera.- The resolution and latency - particularly when zoomed in - is quite poor. Grainy and blurry with ghosting is a big issue when zoomed. So, again, I am really on the fence with this camera. I feel it performs suitably for its intended purpose in a conference room, but begins to struggle with the less people you have in frame. I also feel it struggles with privacy when continually connected to a device - like a desktop computer. In all, I'm rounding up to 4 stars, but would probably rate it 3.75 stars if possible. Keep it in the conference room where you'll surely get the most out of it.

I was particularly impressed with the AI-powered auto-framing feature, which kept me in the center of the frame even when I moved around. The built-in omnidirectional microphone picked up my voice clearly, even when I was speaking in a normal tone. The advanced noise cancellation technology did a good job of eliminating background noise. The speakerphone was also loud and clear. The webcam was easy to set up and use. I plugged it into my computer, and it was ready to go.The webcam is compatible with many video conferencing applications, including Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.I highly recommend the j5create JVU368-360 AI-Powered Webcam with Speakerphone to anyone looking for a high-quality webcam with a wide range of features. Really neat webcam/speakerphone!
This is a neat device for conferencing and I really enjoy its unique design. The audio quality is very good as is the video and the 360 degree ability and AI tracking. It is a very reasonable price for teams who do a lot of conference calls compared to higher priced models and works just as well. It's plug and play and works with all of the main conferencing platforms. It's worked wonderfully for us as we discuss listings with fellow brokers and realtors.
