A big strong lock in a small package! This lock folds up and stows very nicely on the bike frame, yet unfolds for much more reach and flexibility than a classic U lock, making it work in more circumstances and easier to lock both the bike frame and one wheel. It takes a little getting used to handling the articulated form and sliding the latch into place, but very high quality workmanship and smooooth operation. We really liked the multicolored version, but it was out of stock (too popular). Fun colors, and a highly visible deterrent. Independent professional reviewers seem to support manufacturers' claims about it being among the hardest to defeat too.

The Seatylock folding bike lock exceeded my expectations. It feels solid and well-built, giving a real sense of security when locking up my bike. I thought I was looking for a small u-lock along with a longer cable for my bike. This was to reduce the amount of room it took up in my backpack and panniers and to reduce the weight they added. (I already had a larger u-lock and cable, which took up a lot of room and weighed a few pounds.) While searching, I came across this Foldylock. It is not a whole lot lighter than my other lock, but it is more compact and mounts on my bike frame. Hence, I don't notice the weight as much. Also, it is quite sturdy. It is coated so that it does not scrape the paint on my bike frame. As advertised, it also does not make any rattling noises as I ride my bike. The price was higher than I wanted to pay, but I don't regret getting it. It has been a handy bike lock, and I carry it all the time. (I only carried my old lock when I thought I would use it was a bother to carry.) It is a quality product.

This is a great lock that is fairly lightweight, yet strong against tampering. It isn't going to provide the same level of security as say, a competently designed U-lock, but it gets the job done of locking tires to your frame. I do not suggest using these as a main lock. The lock is easy to use and manipulate, and it does per the name, fold up nicely when done. The compact model is large enough to fit around 26" fat tires plus fenders. The only issue I have with this lock is the holster. The lock snaps into it and is retained via a precise molding of the holster. I only bought these locks ~3 weeks ago, and they have slipped out and flown out onto the road twice already - and that's with no deformation of the holster, just jostling from bumps. And yes, they are attached to my frame with the anti-slip feet installed. Obviously, this creates issues for people that might be driving behind you. I'm planning on just carrying these in a cargo bag instead of using the holsters since they're so unreliable. I hope the next iteration of this lock has a better retaining mechanism that isn't so cheap. They could have just installed a strap onto these to help retain them in the holster and they would stay in fine.

very nice solid mount, all the locks in this price range are secure and feel sturdy, the variability comes in the mounting, which is yop noych IMHO

This thing worked as advertised for the first few months... It fit well on my scooter, it was easy to take out of the holder, it was easy to lock and unlock, and it looked nice. It was great until it was time to actually prove it could protect my property from thieves... and boy did it do just that. Some piece of human garbage decided it would be a good idea to throw a large brick at the lock about 10-12 times to try and break it. Not only did this person fail miserably and the lock did not break, but, it is actually still working alright!

I'm using this lock for my e-scooter. A lock is ways good until it isn't. In other words, as long as my scooter is not stolen the lock is doing its job. With battery powered grinders and people with bolt cutters, if someone really wants to cut your lock, they will. This lock seems to be enough of a deterrent or thieves haven't passed by my scooter yet. The lock is a reasonable weight, and i love the small form factor. It mounts easily and quickly to a scooter. Love my folding lock!
