Definitely for the person who has been playing for a long enough to be able to play drum rudiments easily.. paradiddle etc..Bearing in mind you are using four limbs to play notes for each of those limbs at once...so you can only be play as fast as your brain reads the music..Same as reading a book...if you can't understand what you are reading you will be stop starting all the time until you are ready

I bought this book as a present for my girlfriend. She was very excited to receive this book because she is very enthusiastic in her drum studies.Her review:4 stars because there (in CDs) where just 10sec examples but not full length examples of songs. I recommend this book for beginners, especially for beginners of jazz drummers. Liked because of big variety of rhythms and possibility to play swing, shuffle, bebop as well as other playing styles.

this book is pure legend !!! and of course, you quickly understand why : it is so progressive and clear at the same time.I'll say it again, this book is A MUST HAVE.
