AR magazine holds well, but for example Glock 17rd + 2rd magazine is in danger to drop during heavy maneuvering, even when you pull the string very tight.

I will keep this review short and simple. If you're in the market for a soft magazine carrier/pouch that is Mollie capable, look no further than the HSGI TACO Mag Pouch whether it is the Double Decker version or a Single Mag version. They are well made, easily adjustable and have excellent retention of the magazines. The Malice Clips allow a lot of flexibility to mount the pouches in nearly any config you could want and they are highly secure. Bottom line, the HSGI TACO Mag Pouch is top notch and I highly recommend it.

This was what all the mall ninjas and cool kids down at the tactical schools were wearing , so I gave them a try. I have a couple of tactical vest, chest rigs and plate carriers, thought it would be good to try them instead of the Condor's I've been using for years.I found the HSGI tacos difficult to install and remove quickly, which is the exact point of molle web gear. They are also tedious because you have to pull and finagle with the elastic cords to get the right fit on your gear. Lastly, they use plastic straps and tabs to attach to vest, rather than heavier polymer product or canvas, I could see the stress bends in the tabs just while I was installing/removing, I am worried about chemicals, sunlight on plastic tabs. I would rate them a 3 for innovative design - EXCEPT for the bad customer service experience from Rock Mountain. That warrants a 1.Rock Mountain doesn't quite get the whole internet ordering thing. You need to try products out to see if they work on your rig and with your equipment. I ordered them, tried them on the vest (not outside, just in the workshop), didn't like how high maintenance they were, removed them, repackaged and requested a return. Rock Mountain "considered" the return, deemed me worthy and granted return. However, Rock Mountain charges shipping for returns, and charges restocking fees - this is a company right out of the 90's.So bottom line,HSGI interesting product but try before you buy;Rock Mountain, bad supplier that doesn't grasp Amazon or Internet, avoid at all costs.

These are beautifully made! Absolutely loving them. Color matches great with my coyote 511 Tactical TacTec Plate Carrier. Tons of great retention for all styles of mags.

Have seen and read about the tacos for some time now and the reviews are true. Works great! The fit is spot on for PMAGS, .308 mags, and all different pistol mags for the double deckers. Smooth draws and snug fits. A definite recommend!

wonderful product, but the pistol taco has polymer edges that are so sharp at the tips. just watch out.

A royal PAIN to get configured, but amazing quality. The color was perfect, material will outlast me, and retention is excellent.
