Russell and the Lost Treasure

This is a precious story that I was able read to my class digitally! The images were perfectly clear and the story did not disappoint.

I fell in love with the first Russell book (Russell the Sheep). These books are amazing. The wording is hilarious! The pictures are wonderful. I was so happy to see that there was going to be a new Russell book. The Lost Treasure was adorable. I loved the message that was presented and the "real" treasure that Russell found. My girls (ages 6 and 4 1/2) love the books. They are wonderful for family reading time.

This is a cute book

My grand children and I have really enjoyed this book about what a real treasure family is. We have another Russell book and are always entertained by the illustrations and story lines.

My 3-year-old boy just doesn't like it. Maybe in a year or so . . . but for now, the story can't hold his interest. His attention ends as soon as the treasure's found. Maybe if the photos Russell takes were less old-fashioned . . . but that's probably the appeal for some readers. My son just doesn't get them, and I don't think most small children would. He loves Russell the Sheep and Russell's Christmas Magic, however. As always, the illustrations are wonderful.

My 19 month old finds this the funniest book. He cackles every time we get it out, and wants me to read it over and over again. He cuddles the page with the crow every time and gives Russell a kiss too!

My son loves the pictures and the book has a great lesson. He loved the sleep sheep, as well, but we like this book better.

Adorable story that kept our grandson engaged. He asks to have it read over and over. I would recommend this and other books by Ron Scotton.

I discovered the Russell character books after Splat-the-cat's books and really love the astonishing illustration job done in all of them. In a world of over-simplistic and cut-and-paste jobs and rather simplistic stories labelled "for children", Russell is an example of entertaining and very well done jobs overall. My children (now 4 and 6) love reading and re-reading and re-discovering things every time they come back to them. Definitely, one of their favorites.

We also have Russell The Sheep. This book was not disappointing. The story and pictures are just as good. A must read. The grandchildren read it over & over.
