Works great. The handle is oddly shiny but I strip and resurface all of mine anyway so it's not a big issue.

Nice axe!
While a little on the heavy side (for an older person like myself) its a sharp hatchet. I like it a lot even though i have to choke up on it a little for continued use.

Great hatchet. Heavy without being cumbersome, beautiful wood handle.
Good heft and balance, fits well in the hand, edge is coated in a protective layer that will come off when using or sharpening. Overall a great value for the cost.

Perfect size
Purchased to chop/split wood smaller to use as kindling. Nicely balanced and wife loves it.

Poor quality control
Axe arrived in a nice box. Box was slightly damaged but no biggie. Opened the box and removed the axe. Axe handle had a larger chip taken out of the bottom of it and there was some blue sharpie or paint on the handle. If it wasn't for the chip, I probably would have kept the axe as it seemed well made.
