Birthday Gift
Bought for my son’s best friend as a birthday gift. He immediately started reading and can now beat my son in Chess with all of the moves he learned. My son is going to ask to borrow, or I may need to purchase his own book.

Interesting Chess Book
Chess books about traps are helpful. But, only if you keep in mind that a trap in chess only works if your opponent makes certain moves,. Then, you'll like the book. Otherwise, it does help you with your opening moves. But, if you get the book thinking you're going to beat your opponent if you use it, you'll be disappointed.

Starts off bad but gets better.
The book starts off with some dumb, pointless examples but the opening examples get better, but it would have been nice if the ways to avoid trouble got explained as well. Also, the naming of the lines is off in several occasions, for instance, the Icelandic Gambit in the Scandinavian Defense is called the Portuguese Opening. The Portuguese Variation/Gambit arises in another line of the Scandinavian Defense.

A very well-written and understandable chess book - highly recommend!
I read this book top-to-bottom and found it a very easy to understand and expansive - the fifteen opening traps are all useful for any stage of chess and, even if you do not plan to use them, it's useful to know them regardless to avoid falling for these tricks. Highly recommend for any chess players!
