First impression: These are a game changer for me!
I wore these for the first time on the water tonight for a 10K row. Before I get into my review, a little about myself. I am 47 years old, relatively new to the sport, I row recreationally for fitness and enjoyment and have never rowed competitively. I am also well aware of the stigma around wearing any sort of glove while rowing. Not to share too much or be disgusting, but I tend to perspire quite a bit while rowing or doing anything active really. My hands are not excluded from this perspiration and usually midway through my row I am stopping to wipe my hands regularly and struggling to maintain control of my oars. Not until rowing with these gloves this evening did I realize just how much energy I was expending struggling with my sweaty oar handles! Wearing these gloves, despite being sweaty, my last stroke was just as controlled as my first. I was able to enjoy the entire row, not just the first half.To the glove hater's out there, you can say what you want and make fun of me if you want to. I've heard all the "You just need proper technique!" and "You just need to toughen your hands up!" comments. Hogwash! No amount of blisters and callouses nor any improvements to my technique are going to stop me from sweating. Besides, even wearing these gloves I developed a nice puffy blister on my right hand this evening. Blisters don't bother me, and I welcome the callouses.Wearing these gloves was all about having a sure grip and maintaining proper control of my oars, and for that these gloves worked amazingly well! They seem to be well constructed and made of sturdy materials. I will do my best to try and update this at a later date with how they are holding up.UPDATE!!!Two months in and I still love these gloves! I still do not find that they prevent any blisters but rather protect my blisters so that they form properly into the callouses necessary to toughen up my hands. The materials are still holding up quite well and my oar grip and control has never been better!Great product!

Great for indoor rowing
These gloves have been great protecting my hands. I recently started indoor rowing and new my hands would need some protection as get at it. I typically wear large gloves and order the large version of this. They were snug to start but did stretch out within a few uses to really fit comfortably. I'm about 200k meters rowed and the gloves are still in great shape. The grip surface on the palm of the gloves helps when you are really rowing hard or the hands get a little sweaty, haven't lost ahold of the row handle yet because of it. The photo is of the used gloves (about 200k meters in). The open back design is really nice, let's my hands breath. The lack of pinky (little finger) cover has not impacted me at all. When rowing that finger does not really play a factor in the process.

Great rowing gloves!
Yes, they are snug, but they protect my hands as expected. Stretching the elastic as recommended did help on initial uses. They are light and provide excellent breathability compared to many other types of gloves I've tried.

Made my fingers swell
The gloves fit snug which the manufacturers say is correct and that they will stretch after some use. Mine never did stretch and made my fingers swell. They would not refund or exchange. Expensive mistake.

Fantastic!
I was dealing with grip fatigue sweeping in the heat and having slick hand sweat making the oar slip. These glove fit great and saved my hands by increasing the grip adhesion without getting soggy and deformed. They vecro on my wrist and also on my backpack straps to quickly dry out between sessions. They're a bit fussy with the elastic flipping around when I take them off but I love the minimalism of not having full fingers. I'm super happy with the extra small size for my comedy size hands. I usually have trouble finding gloves to fit. Must have for female crew dispite taking some ribbing from the old farts. They're jealous they didn't think of it first!

Great rowing gloves
Living in a hot, humid environment and being a sweater, my hands start sweating within minutes of being on the water. These gloves cover all the right spots and reduce the slippery, sweaty hand stuff. You still get all the touch of the oar, because of how the fingers and thumb are exposed. They are awkward to put on and like anything you're sweating all over, you'll need to wash them frequently -- not sure how they'd fared in the normal wash, so I just do them in the kitchen sink with some dish soap and warm water which works great.

Great Indoor Rowing Gloves
Nice fit- great quality and these help me to not use my pinky when rowing. (I know it's my error.) These gloves have been fabulous!

Still have hot spots on my hands
I've been wearing weight lifting gloves to row, but they were bunching a little bit at the base of my index fingers and I also wanted something with an open back because I didn't like the feel of the glove fabric on the back of my hand during long, sweaty rowing sessions. I thought I would give these gloves a try, but as you can see from the picture... It basically moved the hot spot from my index fingers to my ring fingers (image obtained after 30 minutes on my C2). However, I will praise the gloves for being very well made - they really are a minimalist, second-skin type of glove and I couldn't feel a single seam, although they were a little tight (my hands were closer to the top of the medium fitment, and I usually wear medium gloves; these did loosen up after wearing them, like the instructions said they would and I got used to them quick). These felt good in general and I really wanted them to work, but alas, they moved my problem rather than correcting it. Other reviewers seemed to like them, so I'm probably just a weird case or perhaps I should've gotten a large? I'm inclined to suggest people within 0.5 inches of the top of the medium size to try a large instead.
