Looks very nice in our shower. Not grab-bar-y at all. Just looks like a nice fixture.

Wanted to add a grab bar in our newly built shower, but didn't want it to look like the clunky bars you see in commercial restrooms and hospitals. This one fit the bill nicely. It is sleek and modern -- looks like a towel bar, actually -- but ADA rated for strength and safety when properly installed into wall blocking. This is nominally "stainless steel" and all the other fixtures in the room are polished chrome, but it is smooth and shiny and fits in just fine. I like that the mounting screws are hidden, too.

Quality, style and a reasonable price. Can't go wrong here.

These brushed stainless grab bars are a great choice with BRUSHED NICKEL bathroom fixtures and cost $50 or so less. I bought them to go with our upscale brushed nickel fixtures - and just in case they might be needed in the future. The 36" acts as a towel bar/grab bar in the shower. The 24" works as a vertical grab bar for an extra deep tub. That one hangs along side the German brand hand shower and hose that are brushed nickel but blend in very well. If someone didn't know that they were labeled with different finishes, it would be difficult for them to tell. The ends of the bar are cut off (with caps) like my modern fixture styles. The base (I forget the formal name) is round and, almost but not quite, matches the round base of the modern-style faucet handles but blends in well enough. The grab bars have been in place for over a year and still look good. But unfortunately, we unexpectedly had to put them to actual grab-bar use a month after our project finished when my husband had a nasty fall that became a major medical crisis.
