This is perfect. So sturdy and a good size. This is heavy and great for smashing. I was looking for the best anniversary gift for our iron anniversary and this takes the cake! My husband was SO excited to receive this! Hoping to use without the paper so we don't need to buy more when they run out.

It’s heavy which is great for making patties and flattening out bacon. The surface is solid instead of hollow. The hollow ones don’t make a good Smashburger because it makes patty shapes but it can’t smash them all the way down. This seems like it will last for years. Also, it has a very simple wooden handle. If it ever breaks, I can make one out of a dowel rod. I think this is a very good product with a reasonable price. It made awesome patty melts.

The Smasher King just arrived and it’s awesome! Initially, I bought it for myself, but it’s so cool, that I’m hanging onto it a few more days to give lo my husband for Valentine’s Day! It’s solid, it’s heavy, comes pre-seasoned and it’s ready to rock. The packaging is handsome and will make for a very nice man’s gift. If you’re scrolling down the list of “smashers” wondering which one to buy, you can stop looking now. This IS the one.

I am writing this review MONTHS after I bought it and I'm coming back to say I have been extremely impressed with the quality of this press. First of all, the packaging it comes in makes me feel like a VIP customer. Secondly, the overall visual, tone, and quality of this press is amazing too. I have had this for close to a year now and there has been no rusting yet. With simple cast iron care and easy cleaning this thing should last a VERY long time. When getting it all you have to do is season it with some oil and makes sure you aren't scrubbing the seasoning off when you clean it. Lastly, I am impressed with the handle too, I have not been burned once, and I have been addicted to making smash burgers bi/tri-weekly. The heat retention is good to; the handle stays cold while the press gets hot enough to where the patty doesn't stick. And the sizing of the patties you can make is totally up to your desire because of how big the press is.

Love this product. It is heavy duty enough to last a long time with a broad handle we can use on the grill.

Love our Smash King! We have been using it on our Blackstone to make smash burgers and it works really well.

Are you enthusiastic cook or a pro? Who cares! This is cast iron fits all level of cooking. Great quality, beautiful look, if you make smash burger even once a month just get it!
