more durable than I expected
I put these (the 'H' models) on the front tires of a 60hp, 4wd tractor we use to plow our 1/2 mile of steep driveway. we have received over 150" of snow this winter, so we've definitely put it to work. at least 60 hours of plowing this winter. I haven't lost one of these yet, so I'm pretty impressed, for the price. I did thread the straps through some short pieces of heavy duty, 1.25" vinyl hose from the hardware store to protect the straps from the sharp edges of the two-piece steel wheels on the tractor.all that said, two of the eight I installed had one of the ratchet wheels installed backwards and I had to disassemble them to install them correctly before using them, and the chains themselves are fairly small and light-duty looking. I don't know how long they would last at high speed on pavement. but, on gravel and packed snow, they've held up fine. YMMV.also definitely NOT easier to install than regular chains, IMO. not terribly difficult, but a little fiddly , X 8.

Don’t buy!
Very time consuming to place 3 per tire. Didn’t last 500ft before they started to break or come undone. After spending 2 hours pulling over every ten feet to reapply them, they eventually all just broke. I tried applying them all which ways. They bunched up or moved. If placed too tight to avoid them bunching, the tension on the rope will cause the metal to bend and the rope eventually breaks. Due to the metal bending, it was difficult to remove them; I had to cut the rope to remove them. A one time use product. Great concept, terrible product and cheaply made. I returned for a full refund. I suggest buying something more sturdy like steel chains.

Bad wrench, loose apply
The wrench was bending while applying, equipment. Made it too lose for use. Took off after traveling a few hundred feet and went without. Need for a socket rachet application with torque indicator. That would make this WAY SAFER to use.

They work great. Wish it would have came with 12 not just 6
Wish there was 12 not only 6 chains

Worthless
I bought these for my son to use on our Christmas vacation. Only one description was true; they did fit his tires properly. We traveled very slowly in less than 2 inches of snow. About a quarter mile into the trip up the road my son slid off the side of the road. The tow bill was well over $250. The tow truck driver described these chains as looking good but the design was flawed and were not useful. Once the vehicle was recovered we realized the chains were bent and some were broken at the links. Don’t waste your money!
