No complaints
Let me start by saying this is an awesome plate carrier, especially for the cost. It’s durable, built well enough, offers many adjustments and it set up for a couple different options. To those complaining about the size: this is a PLATE CARRIER. NOT a “body armor” or “tactical vest”. It is NOT intended to cover from clavical to groin. It’s designed to barely make it to your stomach. Research the difference before swaying minds with an inaccurate review. It’s not pretty and isn’t intended to be.iTo those complaining of the smell, it smells like a pool liner. Big deal. If you’re playing dress up in your bedroom you’ll notice it, however if you’re out hiking, shooting, or training, (as is it’s purpose) it’ll fade quickly and smell like the great old outdoors.I 100% recommend this product for those looking for a “minimalist carrier” as another great review stated, and it beats the cheap air soft vests you can get at Dicks.

Great option as a workout weight vest!
Rather than use it as an actual tactical vest, I am using this as a workout weight vest (using two custom made 5lb. plates). Think of this as an insanely more affordable tactical/weight vest than the ones used in the Crossfit Games. I've done a few workouts now using this vest and it's extremely comfortable to do push-ups, squats, single-unders, runs, etc. without impeding range of motion. It carries the plates extremely well, and the mag carriers work great as a cell phone holder. So if you're looking for a cool-looking, comfortable weight vest for working out in, this is a great option!P.S. If you're curious what kind of workout you can do with this as a weight vest, this is one of my favorites: 10 rounds of 15 push-ups, 20 squats, 100 single-unders.

Inspected the quality of this vest and it seems to be pretty good so far
Just received it within 24hrs of ordering. Inspected the quality of this vest and it seems to be pretty good so far. I realize it does have a opening for armor plates if you want to add them in. So far I like it.

Good rapid response carrier
Good rapid response carrier. Can fit two m4 mags in each mag holder but they are tight. I have a buddy who runs this with a battle belt as well and looks manageable enough to be practical. Another buddy is 5 foot even and it fits him like a full size carrier but says he loves it like that. Has a nice breathable lining allowing your shirt underneath to breath somewhat after being wet from sweat instead of just sticking to your back. Overall good buy

Perfect Minimalist plate carrier/ weight vest
I love it, bought this to use as a weight vest for exercise and it's perfect for my size. 185lbs 6' tall. didn't want to buy expensive plates so I built some out of #5 Rebar, parachord, and duck tape from home depot (36$). 10' of #5 Rebar equals 10lbs, so I have a 20lb weight vest for hiking now. I made a pattern out of cardboard to make sure it would fit, then secured and taped all the rebar into a flexible plate. the vest is a little too small for running, it doesn't grip my sides enough to keep it from bouncing while I run, great for all other exercising (great range of motion), but I need a larger vest for running. It might work for running if the side straps were elastic.

good value
(5 stars) Good value for what it comes with. Seems durable to carry plates. Highly recommended.UPDATE (3.5 to 4 stars): some of the velcro stiching on the shoulder wraps are starting to come off on one side . Seems ok enough to fix amd no other issues so far. So far holds plates well too. Id actually order another, but i guess they changed it to where they no longer are able to ship to my location. Bummer.

Perfect for increasing weigh resistance during workouts!
This vest is awesome! Just arrived yesterday and I followed the same outline as another review for the "rebar plates". Nothing was wasted! I used the shipment box to make the plate outline and got 3) 10' pieces of 1/2" thick rebar, 1) 50 yd roll of Gray duct tape and 1) 20 yd roll of black duct tape. Ties everything together with some paracord. I barely had any duct tape left when I was finished and the vest weighs exactly 20 lbs. I plan to use it daily and also for the Murph challenge next year. The mesh under-layer is a bit coarse on the neck but that won't take away from the enjoyment you should get when using it. Just keep a shirt on and you'll be fine.

I wrote a novel about it, hope it helps...
The good: I wanted small and I got it. It doesn't restrict arm motion at all, and I can bend fully in all directions, (6'1", for reference, smaller people may vary). It came with 1 single mag pouch and 1 side by side double mag pouch. MOLLE is nice and tight, velcro isn't garbage. Probably isn't banded velcro, though. Adjustments to side and shoulders don't wander over time. They seem to hold real plates decently (8×10×.5, lvl 3, single curve, 6ish lbs ea. w/ 6mm trauma pad. I'll get back to the plates. The other stuff: it isn't double stiched everywhere, especially in some areas where it should be. They didn't claim it was, though, so don't hold it against them. That's why it's $40. Also, as I said, it's small. With the included shoulder pads/comms guides especially, it likes to rub on my neck some, especially running it slick with a chest rig. My neck isn't thick, so I'd suggest giving it a little adjusting to avoid the issue and avoiding all together if you're bulky in the neck. Lastly, back to the plate pocket, the description reads that it accepts 10x12 plates. This depends heavily on how close to 10x12 your plates are. Dead on or bigger may have fit issues, especially with a trauma pad or ceramics. Additionally, I feel that the plate pocket could be better secured, perhaps with 2 MOLLE strips and fasteners to thread into the carriers MOLLE, or keep the single velcro method and top load the plate slot, which would be preferable.Bottom line: I didn't return it, and I'm loading it up with my old 8x10s. What does that tell you? If the above issues aren't a dealbreaker, you can't go wrong with a 40 dollar carrier that actually works. If the above issues do break it, try the ATG Rapid for a similar but heftier version of this or the Gloryfire for something even bigger like 11x14s.
