To me it looks like a quality pack
To me it looks like a quality pack. I’m a big guy with 52” waist so the stomach strap isn’t big enough. Otherwise a good unit. I bought a 3 quart water bladder for it and I don’t think it will fit like I want it to. The picture shows a metal bracket holding the water bladder in the upright position, so I assumed (yeah I know) it was included. No it wasn’t: so I think the picture was deceptive to me ( my opinion) hence the 4 stars. It also looks bigger in the picture, but I’m guessing it would still be good for a 2 or 3 day hike.

Great bag. Been using it for about a year ...
Great bag. Been using it for about a year now and it's still good as new. No rips/tears and carries a lot. I am in the Army and I have used this bag for field training and just everyday usage.

really liked this. However
Initially, really liked this. However, after very little use, some of the straps have started to fray. This has now become unusable.

I now have a bag that I won’t use most of the time....
Bag is a bit smaller than anticipated. Also one of the main reason I bought the bag was for the side/hip pockets. They show a picture of an iPhone in there but mine won’t fit. (Its a plus size. Smaller phones do fit snug)I’ll probably use this for light trips though on my motorcycle that’s about it. Not big enough for the weekend or carry on. Not tactical enough for daily commute. The straps after adjusting are very long. I’ll need to cut them for sure. The 2nd pic shows the chest strap which for some reason isn’t adjustable and it’s sewn with a loose strap as shown in pic. So it just looks bad as is.$50 is cheap yes, but not worth it with all of the cons in my opinion. Might end up in your “old bag” bin.

Quality Backpack, Decent Price, Overstated Capacity
EDIT: Since this review has been posted, the carrying handle at the top has ripped off. The stitching was not done properly. Upon inspection of the rest of the pack, the stitching was poor throughout, the exceptions being at the inside sides of the main compartment and the outside bottom. Still not a poor purchase, but I got what I paid for and not much better.I've been having difficulty finding a decent backpack for a while. I've gone through one every two years or so for almost 18 years, and this is probably the heaviest duty one I've encountered, especially at the price. It is very water resistant, I wouldn't call it waterproof. The capacity is also misrepresented by about 10-15%. The zippers will definitely withstand regular use. I'll likely buy a bigger one if I need one for camping/hiking, as this is mainly good for the range, school, etc.

Great bag to hold your emergency (or everyday!) gear
This is a fantastic bag for putting together an emergency bag. It holds a lot, has a lot of molle loops on the exterior so you can attach additional gear. I do find that this bag rides a bit higher on my back than I might like but not uncomfortably so (I'm 6'0); you're substantially taller than 6', I might consider looking for a more tall-friendly bagThere are lots of pockets, pouches and sleeves in this bag to help you keep your equipment organized. This comes with a small padded molle pouch that you can strap on the outside of the bag. It's a bit small for sunglasses but you could fit a compass and/or knife in it.The zippers are beefy and have nice zipper pulls. The zippers aren't loud and aren't quiet, registering 58dBA when pulling. The only things I would want, to improve this bag:- Use 900D fabric- Have external slot for a water bottle and/or umbrella holder- Some of the stitching was frayed. Not enough to compromise the bag, just here and there

Well build, but not necessarily functional
Sturdy bag, got it for my girlfriend to bring to college because I thought she could add MOLLE pouches to the shoulder straps to carry her ipod and to the webbing on the sides to attach a water bottle holder. Only after receiving the bag and the MOLLE accessories did I realize that the straps on the bag are in the wrong orientation and the webbing on the side is too close together so MOLLE accessories cannot be attached properly. I ended up attempting to attach the water bottle holder to the webbing on the back of the bag and the stiching prevented me from using the two outermost loops, essentially turning a 6x3 grid into a 4x3 grid. The bag seems sturdy enough, but the webbing appears to be more for show than utility. The little pouches on the hip straps are big enough to accommodate an iphone# plus or other similarly plus sized smartphone.

Smaller than I thought it would be.
The item was a little small, however, the shipping was incredibly fast. The quality of the pack is, without question, the best I've seen from this site. There were plenty of pockets and a decent size main compartment. I haven't fully tested its durability yet, but I plan to. The zippers are nice and big and as the cherry on top it came with a short comic which I thought was absolutely hilarious and a very nice touch. I will be recommending this to friends and family and when this one breaks down I will be ordering another.UPDATE: So it's been a year, I've been losing this bag with 50-70lbs of stuff every day and putting this pack through all the abuse a coal mine has to offer. 2 days ago the main compartment zippers failed and split, however I am still using it due to its adjustability I can still cinch it shut. I will miss this bag very much.
