I'm very pleased with this glass beaker. I've been though several this size, and I have to say, this is by far the highest quality one yet. I highly recommend it.

My occasional interaction with borosilicate glass (pyrex amongst others) has always been with either the smaller and thicker 1 or 2 cup liquid measuring cups, or with lab glass. In both cases, it always seemed heavier for its size.I was a little surprised therefor on how light this item is. I have no way to tell if its borosilicate without dropping it, and while I have managed to almost do that without any prompting, I will not be doing a test to destruction just for my idle curiosity.I got this to make a humorous accent to my coffee station, and as such it is more than adequate. I took a photo next to a standard food can, and with it inside to give a sense of scale. Can't easily visualize 1L of displacement, but the can size everyone will recognize.Bottom of the beaker is very smooth. So smooth that it glides across a smooth countertop. Almost to dropping off of said countertop. So either be cautious, or a slob. Your call on that.I'm happy, and will keep an eye out for additional offerings from this vendor to add to the collection.
