Worked great for a couple of DIY plumbing jobs. The crimp rings that come with it (3 sizes) were a nice touch and also worked great. Recommended for anyone who wants to do some PEX piping around the house or to help out a neighbor. I like tools that come in a case like this. Helps keep them clean and ready to use.

I am a first time pex user, so not sure if this is a very good tool. It worked well and is good quality. The cutter worked well. It was difficult to close as it took alot of force. You need 2 hands for the squeeze until it is about 1/2 closed. I believe most of the pex tools would be like this. It worked well and for the price I think it is great.

Poked a hole in a water line and I needed these crimpers to repair. They handled the job with ease and I was happy with the results and the price of these crimpers.

I invested $150 in PEX crimping and crimp cutting tools fifteen years ago. It was a wonderful improvement and vastly better than CPVC and glue. Retiring that equipment for thirty bucks worth of PEX clamp tools is hard, but totally worth it.The tools are much smaller, and having a box with the applicator and the remover and the pipe cutter and 3/4 and 1/2 inch supplies, all in a box that is half the size of the box for the PEX crimper on its own is great. Better that that, the smaller size of the clamper means you can get it into places that the crimper is really hard to use because of the long arms. The extra gearing makes up for the loss of length, although it still takes some effort for closing. And it can be closed with one hand although it's tough.Clamps are cheaper than crimps, so all is good.But I also had my first ever failed PEX junction using this tool. I think it was either a malformed clamp, or I allowed the tool to slip off the clamping edges and clamped it too loose. Anyway, that's just a one off that I put down to inexperience.

Quality tool, nice kit for the price. This tool does Not have much leverage built in, so it does require fairly high effort to make closures. I had luck putting a couple lengths of metal pipe on the handles to reduce the force required for closing clamps, much easier to use in less than ideal positions.

I bought this several months ago and left it in my RV just in case I needed to do some repairs. I had a hose leaking and finally tried the crimper. It worked very well. Seems to be very durable. I will have to say that when it is spread out on the clamps you will have a hard time using one hand to crimp it so and extra pair of hands come in handy. I have large hands but doing it by myself, I pressed one handle against my leg as I pushed on the top handle. I was then able to grab it and finish crimping with one hand.

Je l'ai acheté en prévention au cas et nous en avons eu besoin pour la roulotte. Quand même facile à utiliser, mais ça prend beaucoup de force pour crimper la bague, j'ai dû me faire un appui sous une poignée et poussé sur l'autre pour réussir. Ce n'est pas pour les bagues standards ronde, c'est pour les autres types.

Purchased this tool when I ran into a tight situation installing PEX water lines. I have previously used PEX copper rings for installation, whereas this tool works with the stainless steel version. While the SS rings are more expensive, I can't see myself ever going back to the copper style....ever. The ratcheting function makes these so easy to use with one hand in any situation.Changing from mode 1 to 2 is awkward (install & removal) and I did find them pricey, otherwise I would have given them a 5 star
