Excellent quality and seems robust. The installation instructions are clear and informative and include a template for correct positioning of each part . There are different sheets of instructions depending on if your door is opening inward/outward/right/ left . I am very pleased with the results .

Good product, but could close softer for my preference.

The instructions were comprehensive and covered every different combination of push/pull, parallel and vertical installation. The template was accurate and clear, the step-by-step instructions with diagrams and colour photographs absolutely perfect. Fortunately, my door is solid wood, so the self-tapping screws provided worked well, after using the included drill bit to create a shallow pilot hole. However, I can see how you might have a problem if it's a hollow door, so additional fixings may be required. Okay, the rather dodgy English was a bit of a challenge (why don't these manufacturers employ an English speaking native to write their manuals?), but the rest was simplicity itself. The door closer worked straight off without any adjustment and closes the door perfectly. I cannot comment on the longevity of the product, but as I didn't need to adjust the screws, there shouldn't be any risk of oil escaping and as long as the spring lasts, it should do the trick for a long time. So far, so good. Great looking product and very robust at an amazing price!

It arrived promptly and I have just installed it. It comes with several full size templates, which also serve as illustrations, as to the installation process. You get several templates, for different door configurations, RH or LH opening etc. I chose the one I needed, and trimmed the extra paper, so that it aligned exactly with the door frame and the door itself. You get the right size drill supplied and it was easy to drill the door and the frame, using the template, which I had fixed in place with a couple of staples. To mount the stationary top fixing, I needed to cut a slot in the architrave. I screwed the unit and the top fixing in place, using longer screws than the ones supplied for the top fixing. The instructions are clear and before finally assembling, you pre-load the unit by introducing a 15 degree pre load. I adjusted the closing speed and the latching speed with the two valve adjustments, which are quite sensitive. I now have a door which is not too difficult to push open and shuts smoothly, with no fuss! I should add that I am no carpenter, just an average DIYer. Very happy so far!

Template didn’t quite work for me and I ended up re drilling the holes. Once this was done it worked ok. The adjustment proved difficult and in order for the door to latch I had to have both adjustments at full speed. This meant the door required some force to open. The latching adjustment screw at one point came out and oil poured all over the door and adjoining wall. Surely it could be designed to prevent removal of the screw - I know there is a warning about this in the instructions but the force of the door closing in my case shook the screw free and meant having to repaint.

Works well but installation instructions are confusing. I think this is because there are many different ways it can be fitted. Basically provided the door weight is in the right range, this product can be installed and work on any door with a frame. I found I needed a couple of days to think about it first! One thing the instructions don't mention at all is that the arm has two pivots that allow the frame mounting to be offset. This gets around the problem with door architrave that has a sloping face. I just offset the arm so that the frame mounting was on the square edge above the slope.

I've never reviewed anything before. But this door closer is and and the instrctions are the BEST EVER. All those other suppliers that do a hald haerted minimalistic job with some rubbish Chinglish, unfathomable instrucysions should take note. This supplier has done a really great job here. Plus the packaging was perfect an dthey even provided a drill bit for the smouting screws. I'd previosuly tried a cheaper door spring and then a dampender to stop it slamming. Neother of which worked very well. This closer worked out cheaper and far superior.

I saved a hood $20-$30 with this purchase compared to usual diy big box stores. The quality is just as good, installation is just as easy and up to now, just as reliable. So, why pay more when you can get same product delivered at your home via Amazon

Adequate door latching speed makes opening door quite difficult.

Anche se si sono rotte delle viti e la punta di trapano in dotazione, il prodotto sembra funzionare proprio bene. E' necessario però armeggiare un pò per regolarlo come si vuole (parliamo di millimetri)
