Worked perfectly
I wanted to replace a grip on my Scotty Cameron putter with a different grip. The grip that was on it was in good shape and worth saving. This tool did the trick. I used a squeeze bottle of solvent and with little effort the grip came right off in “like new” condition. Very happy would highly recommend.

Get this tool if you work on golf clubs and reuse golf grips a lot.
I build my own golf clubs and I change shafts occasionally so I need to remove grips to reuse if they're in decent shape. I made my own tool years ago that helps me to remove grips but when I found this I had to get one. This tool is sturdy, easy to use and makes grip removal real easy.

File/sand the tip
Works great, but it's important to slightly file/sand the tip that goes against the shaft as it can scratch the shaft when working to insert it under the grip. The side that is toward the grip is slightly rounded, but not the "bottom" side of the tip and it can scratch the shaft when working to get the tip under the grip to start. Otherwise it works great.

Saves grips
Some of the grips I change are old and unusable. Those are easier to just cut off. This tool helps remove the grip so it can still be used again, if wanted.

Got 5 grips off before it kinked
Just another cheaply made golf grip removal tool. Steel is well formed but has no real integrity. You will be using a lot of solvent and getting plenty of old tape out of your grips you are trying to save.Edit** they now sell two for under $20 I paid $23 for 1 this brand and distributor can go right off. This tool is trash. The very definition of mediocre.

A grip remover that works! Plus it is very easy to use.
This really works sooo well. Insert the end into the top of the grip and spray with grip solvent. Wiggle while pushing down. After it inserts about 2-3" twist handle a little and spray more solvent. Push in another 3-4" twist and spray more solvent. Push the rest of the way in. Then twist handle to rotate all the way around the grip. Once grip is loose just pull it off, and you are done.

Not useful
I am shorter and cut my clubs down just a bit. Was hoping to be able to save grips with this tool, but it doesn’t work very well on any of the newer mid size grips. Might be good for very thin rubbery grips if you pour a tone of solvent down the tool, but was useless on a thicker putter grip. Would return if I could. Save the time and just cut your grips off.

Grip remover??
Difficult to insert. Difficult to add solvent. Difficult to remove grip. Do not recommend

Great Tool, Just make sure you have a good working Grip Shooter to use with it!
This tool can pay for itself REAL Quick, when you don't have to cut off a Grip, and can just remove it!

Made to Last, Works Like a Charm
I wasn't convinced that this tool would easily remove a golf grip, but I was surprised at how quick and easy it did the job. I had been using an injector to force solvent under the grip with a needle, which left holes in the grip and sometimes stretched it out of shape. This tool works with very little solvent and on my first try, I had a grip off in under 30 seconds. The tool is very solidly built and should last for many years.

Worked, but flimsy
I regripped 11 clubs, it saved all my grips and was able to get them off pretty quickly with generous mineral spirits. I poked one small hole in a grip (user error I believe). The metal is not overly sturdy and by the halfway point I would have to bend it back to straight before proceeding with the next grip. I’d recommend maybe the Golfworks version which would be slightly more expensive if you plan to do lots of clubs/multiple uses!
