Internal short in less than 24 months
I bought this to help troubleshoot a tail light issue I was having on my utility trailer. I replaced the trailer plug with this new one and that didn’t fix the issue so by the time I finally re-wired the entire trailer to troubleshoot why the right trailer light is now is on all the time, where before it didn’t work at all, I see now where there is a short in this trailer plug that causes the right taillight to be on even when disconnected from the vehicle, because it is getting power from the 12 V loop for the trailer brakes and on board 12volt battery.

Non-standard color code doesn’t match any standard trailer wiring.
These guys use a non-standard wiring color scheme. The standard scheme is as follows:1 positive (red)2 right turn (green)3 brakes (blue or black)4 ground (white or black)5 left turn (yellow)6 tail lights (brown)7 backup7 pole diagram - spline at the top 6 15 2 4 3These guys come up with their own scheme, which is totally non-standard and cost me a few hours to figure it out. Their colors on this product are as follows:Green - running lampsRed - left stop turnWhite - groundBlue - electric brakesBrown - right stop turnBlack - running lamps againYellow - backup lampsAt least they went standard with brakes and ground. You can make it work, but you will have to connect different colors of wires by cross referencing the above. For example, attach their green wire to the trailer's brown wire, etc.

Replaced 3 in 1 year
Been through 3 of these in 1 year. They keep shorting our inside the molded plug causing the right brake light to always be on. 1st 1 lasted about 6 month 2nd was bad brand new and 3rd lasted about 6 months. If it wasn't for that the idea and functionality would be great. I am now using a different model by the same manufacturer. We will see how it works but this one unfortunately is highly unreliable.

Don't waste your money
I bought this in 2020 on ebay. I would have left this feedback on ebay but I can't access my past orders before 2021. In June 2023 it shorted out and melted while I was driving. I seen lots of smoke in my mirror while stopped at a traffic signal. Pulled over and disconnected it asap. I feel very lucky that there was no fire or damage to my truck or trailer wiring.
