How do I take it apart? There’s no button to dissemble the hula hoop.

There's this button in between every connection of the hoop. You sort of have to press for it and then it comes off. I think that was the only frustrating thing about the product.

It is made well. It snaps together and it is a bit flexible, but yes I would call it sturdy.
