Upon opening the bottle my nose was assaulted with the worst rotten egg smell I have ever encountered emanating from a pill bottle. I wanted to love these, but man, I thought the smell was bad, the taste was even worse!!! Sweet, fishy, rotten egg flavor that stuck on my tongue even after brushing. I just can't.This product has five different forms of magnesium, and I must say, I slept so well. Unfortunately, I cannot get past the smell, flavor or after taste.

Though these taste icky, they work great, so I've learned to just drink water while chewing them to lighten the taste. I have noticed a tremendous difference in my digestive system while taking these.

Magnesium has a variety of benefits and pretty much everybody is deficient in it. I found this to give me better quality sleep when taken in the evening and helps with the restless feeling I would get in my legs. The absorbtion is pretty good in comparison with other magnesium brands I have taken.

I'll make this short. I chewed one of these and the other 29 went in the trash. It's a disgusting taste and a worse aftertaste. I've been taking magnesium supplements for years, and I just swallow capsules. No problem. I've also tried chewing gummies, and some of them are quite tasty. Again, no problem. But chewing this huge tablet is very unpleasant.And it brags about not having any sugar, but instead it's full of sorbitol and sucralose, with sorbitol (a laxative) listed FIRST! OMG. My wife's a retired nurse. She said they sometimes administered sorbitol to patients in the hospital as a laxative. I can assure you it works well for that, having once unknowingly chewed through nearly an entire roll of sugar-free mints without realizing what the sorbitol would do to my bowels (use your imagination; it wasn't pleasant).So for the sorbitol alone, I am not going to finish this bottle.But the front label on the bottle claims it has 900 mg per serving. I guess I need to point out they don't tell you 900 mg of what! Studying the ingredients panel, what I THINK they did was add 750 mg of magnesium, 50 mg of vitamin B6, and 100 mg of "GlutActive MAG Proprietary Blend." Seriously, I think that's what they did. So the label is either inaccurate or misleading. Either way, it would make me skeptical of taking this supplement even if it tasted good and didn't have a lot of sorbitol. I received this item through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review.I ordered these chewable tablets because I find that magnesium before bed helps me prevent muscle cramps. I have only recently been using magnesium in the past several months, in pill form. I thought that maybe a chewable form might be nice. On the plus side, these have five different forms of magnesium, each of which acts slightly differently, and it is sweetened with sorbitol rather than sugar. On the negative side, the first time I chewed one, I initially tasted the berry flavoring, but then my mouth was confronted with a strange flavor that lingered for at least two minutes in my mouth. Each time I took one, I tried to figure out what that weird taste was. Finally, the best description I could come up with was sweet and fishy. Later, I looked up the taste of magnesium glycinate... behold, it is "sweet and fishy" flavored. I will still take these (there is a 30 day supply in a bottle) but I think I'll try to swallow quickly rather than chew. Finally, I think that this supplement should have a child-resistant cap, although I don't think a child would want another after tasting one.
