You'll feel good knowing that the products you are choosing are helping save the planet, and your bottom-line Review: The best scrubby I've used - So...this scrubby is great. All the wonderful things the other reviewers have said are true. --It dries quickly, so it never gets gross and smelly. --It's perfect for cast iron cookware because you really can clean pretty well without using soap. --It scrubs stainless cookware without scratching (although I often use a dab of soap to remove the oil I cook with). --It's pretty powerful. It scrubs MUCH better than any of my "gentle" scrubby sponges. --It's attractive, comparatively. Even when it gets old and has accumulated bits of burnt crud, it is still way more attractive than an old stained sponge. --It lasts. They do eventually accumulate enough junk that you have to replace it, but I would guess it lasts about 3 times as long as a scrubber sponge. If you designated a single scrubby specifically for broiler pans and the like, then your other scrubby would last prettymuch forever. Most bits of crud will wash out. Like one of the other reviewers, I felt a little funny about buying a fancy scrubby over the internet. But it is so worth it! I don't think I'll even need to buy any of the coarse scrubbies. The gentle scrubby can even handle my broiler pan. But I admit I might buy the coarse ones just to get the contrasting color . Review: They don't come out of the box looking like the pic - They are actually a flat piece (like sandpaper) with slits between solid ends. As a result, they don't make a nice scrubby shape, and I haven't figured out how to get them to that point (haven't worked too hard at it). As a result, they've been relegated to the sink drawer "for later". Not what I want from a new cleaning product.

Saw this on the DIY show 'I Want That'... Super cute, and a decent conversation piece in my kitchen. The only draw back is that it gets all tangled up and is hard to straighten out for drying, but it can be done. Also, I've used it for a few months now and it hasn't torn at all. I assumed the ends of the perforated strands would eventually tear appart....and they haven't.

Not biodegradable
The term "environmentally friendly" is not how I would describe this product. Sure, it's slightly better than those plastic scouring pads, which break down and wash bits of plastic into our water systems. But this product is made with polyester, which will not decompose for another 20 years at best, 200 years at worst. The production of polyester uses harmful chemicals, including carcinogens, and if emitted to water and air untreated, can cause significant environmental damage. Not environmentally friendly at all!!!!

They do mildew
I was so excited to find these as they promised not to mildew (I am so saddened that I was excited by a pot scrubber in the first place and then even more disappointed that I am bothering to write about it) but they do mildew. I have had mine - both red and yellow, for a little over a month. They work well and they are good at fitting in nooks and crannies unlike a sponge BUT they said another benefit was that they don't mildew - and that was my main reason for buying them. I detest the smell of mildew. These were kept in a little sink strainer basket which drains so I was surprised they mildewed but that smell does not lie. I don't think I'd buy them again.

Best 'SPONGE' on the planet. peach pit love forever!!!
I have the pink version of this and have used them for years. I hate the smell of sponges and this has been THE ONLY thing I've ever used that I've loved. I've tried all sorts of different scrubber alternatives and these are by far the best! You can put them in the dishwasher or microwave to clean them and they last forever. Its great with egg and hard to remove items. I do use dish soap with them - contrary to the name :) I'm kind of panicking seeing there is only 1 left in stock and no pink here at all. I do hope this doesn't mean they are going out of business!!! Here is my review to keep people buying them!

Work well
When I first used this product, I was immensely impressed with it's ability to get baked-on grease off my pans. After a few weeks of use, it has become less effective on really tough grease, but it still works well on most of my pots and pans. My favorite part is that the sponge dries very quickly, which makes it far more sanitary than a regular sponge.
