Great night light

I use this basically for a low light to turn on in the night time and it has a low glow and not too bright.

Always wanted to have a lava lamp since I was a kid. The moment it started working, it was a dream come true moment. Really enjoyed the experience. The unit came in a safe packaged box as the main component itself is a glass bottle with liquids in it. The stand and the cap are standard materials, which does the job. The bulb seemed it was specially shaped for this purpose.For the first use and the initial couple of uses, there are specific steps that you have to take care of. So I would highly recommend everything in the instructions to follow the same way. I had to read it 2 times, just to make sure I get everything rite. Basically the wax comes as solidified and needs a couple of hours the first time to liquify and get its state. Also, there are time restrictions on how long you can use it on a single use as it gets extremely hot.That brings to the topic of gifting it to children. I would definitely not recommend this product for kids. Even for adults, you have to be really careful in choosing a proper place for this and safely use it. Touching the unit accidentally after hours of use can immediately burn your hand, and if it drops and breaks, the liquid inside can cause serious and permanent damage to your body. Again, this is just a warning to be cautious. Children can obviously enjoy it with an adult supervision, or from non reachable place.Once it starts working, its just mesmerizing, you could sit there and watch it for hours. Making the room dark, increases the ambiance. It soothes and calms your mind and body. If you feel this might be safe for your home, I would highly recommend buying them. This is science at one of its best moments.

The lt. Blue liquid is 80 % foggy. You can barely see the yellow lava. Would recommend NOT TO BUY.

I am a light lover, I love all sorts of cool lights. I have LED neon signs, unique lamps, light strips, portable light sources, etc. I love a cool light. I had a lava lamp when I was young and now with a child of my own, I wanted to pass that cool product on to him. I suppose lava lamps are now considered an artifact, basically. HAHA! na, I think they are super cool, they are a neat little source of light, give nostalgic vibes to the room, and is just overall pretty to look at.This lava lamp is just like the picture advertised. I got the one with blue liquid and purple lava. It is electric, obviously. Upon first use, it will take several hours of being on to heat up the substance enough to get it really going. So plug it up for up to 10 hours the 1st time to get it heated up. Do not shake it at all, at any point. If it still doesn't look like the typical lava lamp after that initial use, dont worry. Nothing is wrong. Give it a break and try it again the next day. It takes time to get it to normal. But once the lava substance has adjusted, it is beautiful and has beautiful movement. Just dont give up on it after the 1sr or 2nd try.While this light is beautiful and addicting to look at, take proper precautions to maintain safety. It is called a lava lamp for a reason. It works by using heat. The lamp gets quite hot, so make sure it is in an are in which it could not get knocked over or accidentally bumped into. Make sure children cannot touch it. It will burn. It is beautiful but it can get you if you aren't safe. I have had no issues thus far. I warned my child once and no issues since. He knows it is pretty to watch but no touching. "Hot lava" But this is a cute lamp or night light for an adults room or space as well.

Love this light! I have it in my living room next to my couch and my cats and guests all love watching it. It adds a pop of color that matches the accent wall in my living room..the design is a throw back to vintage but also with a modern flare. It's so easy to assemble you really don't even need the directions, it's so straight forward common sense..easy to plug in. Easy to turn on and off. It has a little click wheel switch and no remote..it has a cord that needs plugged in to the wall. Super easy to use! It would also be very fun for a kids bedroom or playroom.

love this thing! It was sort of an impulse order because it's Christmas and we have a lot of lighty glowy things around. I thought this might be a fun addition to some other decor we have out and honestly I have not been disappointed.A couple of things to know: this takes a while to heat up. The first time I turned it on it didn't seem to do much for three hours - note that you really should read the directions manual since that goes into things like how long you can leave it on without damaging it, how not to cloud the liquid, etc. Anyway, the directions said the first few lightings would take longer so I wasn't too upset about it. I did use a potholder and moved the glass sideways a little to see if I could dislodge the clumpy wax in the bottom - that did the trick and soon it was bubbling and blurping away. The second time I used it, it didn’t really get rolling for almost an hour but I didn’t have to do anything to it - it just heats up rather slowly which is fine.It's very VERY ASMR. I could and probably will watch this thing for hours. The ONE real recommendation I would make is it needs a timer - per the directions leaving it on longer than 8 hours will damage it. I probably will buy a timer that plugs into an outlet for this purpose.Note it gets really, really hot! Do not touch this with your bare hands or leave it somewhere a child or pet could knock it over and harm herself with the hot wax. THIS IS A HAZARDOUS ITEM - NOT SUITABLE FOR UNSUPERVISED USE BY CHILDREN. Just thought I'd better put that in all caps because of course any child would love this but it needs to be in a display cabinet or somewhere they can't reach it.I would absolutely order this again, and I'd be interested in other products from this manufacturer.

I liked the look of the lamp, but I left it on for hours and it never started to move. The metal ring just sat there. Had to return.
