Door Buddy Dog Door Strap Combo

Our dog recently had a trip to the vet with a suspected blockage in his intestines, turns out after an X-ray that he had been eating the litter from the cats litter tray! We quickly looked for options for how we could stop this from happening, cat doors which seemed permanent, microchip openable cat litter boxes are expensive, came across this on Amazon and it has worked amazingly, the cat can get in and out without any issue and the dog despite his attempts can not get in! Could not recommend enough!

I’m almost afraid to write this review incase I jinx it, but so far this product has been life changing! I bought this product to stop our 21 month old escaping from our lounge every time my back was turned for one second.....I’d tried other types of baby locks (all of which he’d managed to open!!), putting chairs in front of the door as a barricade (which super-toddler managed to move!!) but so far this product works brilliantly. The adhesive seems very strong, our toddler has tried several times to pull the door open with all of his force, but it hasn’t moved at all- and is still stuck tight. If you have a baby or toddler I’d recommend getting the one that comes with a door stop as this is perfect for preventing trapped fingers. Ok, so it may be a little over priced for a strap and a bit of plastic, but well worth it considering how much easier it has made my life!

This door catch is a brilliant idea! It stops our dog from getting to our cats food or litter tray. Also can stop small children from getting in doorways, it includes a bumper to stop the door from closing so there's no chance of little fingers getting trapped. No screws or drilling required, it takes about 5 minutes to put up and you're done. Works well on any door, but I just wish the strap was a bit longer as I had to stick it elsewhere than the doorway ( wall next to opening of door) just make sure the surface is clean and dry before sticking the pads there. Great product!

The design is genius. I have two dogs both capable of jumping up and opening doors and this has been a lifesaver especially for my internal door that leads into my front door. I now put the body on and have peace of mind that the dogs won’t be able to get out I have two large dogs And the quality of the body is able to withstand their body weight and attempts to get out of the door. You just have to be mindful when you have applied to buddy as early news I forgot I’d put it on open the internal door and it ripped plaster and paint work off the wall which is in a thought of the products instead my own fault and in many way shows the adhesive strength is incredibly strong. The design also makes it easy for children to use.

The product just did not work - 11 month old labrador went straight trough without much force - the door strap is just not strong enough

This device has saved us so much pain and misery! Our middle aged cat did not take kindly to a new and boisterous puppy, even though she had lived with a dog previously. Keeping them apart was incredibly stressful, any time he was out of sight he was bothering her. Not any more! These give her complete peace from him. He’s a big dog, he could probably barge them off the wall if he really wanted to, but he can’t work out how to get in. He cries for a bit outside the door then gives up. We can relax knowing he can’t hurt her. And now she feels safer, they’ve started to build a relationship, instead of her hiding in the garden the whole time. 100% recommend these.

Brilliant product! We have a small cockerpoo, and she loves my cats food, which isn’t good for her!! Both pets sleep in my room and the cats food is in a spare room, I’ve tried weights behind both doors to keep the dog from getting out of my room and into the spare room, I’ve put gates in the way and used door stops but nothing worked... until this!!! It’s a perfect product, works wonders, I’ve even heard the dog banging at the door to try and get in, but she hasn’t succeeded and we’ve had this a month now! Thoroughly impressed and would definitely recommend!
